Fun (or medicore) fact: Johnny had a buzz cut in the first film because it was easier/cheaper to render his flame mode with shorter hair.

Can't believe they didn't mention the "it's clobbering time" scene. Best scene by far.

I hate that this version of Doctor Doom is just a discount Norman Osborn. Like, I really, really hate it.

I'm surprised & impressed that Chiklis pushed so hard to give his character the practical suit. It's always nice when a passionate fan gets cast; their opinions can really help out with those details. Honestly? I think the suit holds up pretty good. If they did it today, I think they could easily keep it practical, but add a bit of CGI here & there when needed.

One of the few things I liked about this movie were the costumes.

The thing suit is almost perfect. It needs a big rock eyebrow, and they needed to use some Lord of the Rings forced perspective shots to make him 8 feet tall.

We haven’t had a proper, serious Fantastic Four film yet. Chris Evans is one great actor, so when I first heard he was going to be Steve Rogers, I was excited.

The MCU should bring back Michael Chiklis as The Thing. He was the best part of both movies

Things I like about these films: -The cast (save for alba) was perfect -The costumes. While they aren’t 100% accurate, they are faithful to the source material (looking at you 2015 Fan4stic with crash test dummy Doom). -The Thing -The chemistry between Johnny and Ben, they had some pretty good banter. -The Score by John Ottoman. It captures the adventurous and fantastical spirit of the F4 and if it was in a film where the four actually went through weird science adventures (going to space, finding Skrulls, etc) it would’ve been perfect. If they ever reboot the F4, keep the main theme.

You really have to appreciate how great of a job Ben does at editing these videos and capturing the personalities and humor of the boys, Jimmy and Nicky.

The fact Evans went from playing the Human Torch to someone like Captain America is actually pretty impressive. Both are believeable too.

What I like about (comics) Dr Doom is that his face scar was like a tiny little thing, but being a perfectionist it bugged him so much he got the mask, but when the mask was put on it was still hot so it burnt his face. So now, under the mask his face is as messed up as he felt that it ws when it was just a tiny little scar. Self fulfilling prophecy?

This film will always be a guilty pleasure for me, will rewatch it over and over

I loved this movie as a kid. I was like 8-9 when this movie came out and my nearly 10-year-old brain LOVED the campy comedy melodrama with the weird use of powers in everyday life. It felt very much like playing with my dolls/action figures and everything was very personally motivated rather than "I'M HOLDING THE CITY FOR RANSOM! *FIGHT MEEEE!"* generic stuff. It was all about love and family and finding happiness after all this stuff went down. As a kid, this movie hit me PERFECTLY so I can't really hate it. It primed me for falling in love with the first Iron Man movie so hard as I grew.

This film holds an unwarranted & bizarre but hugely special place in my childhood heart

I actually get some guilty entertainment out of this movie. My friend and I watched it and had a good laugh. Rise of the Silver Surfer bored us more

The movie is fine. It isn't bad, it's just mediocre. The cast is all pretty great in my opinion - with Johnny and Ben being PERFECTLY cast, they just don't have much to work with unfortunately. You guys should have actually given it a rewatch lol

Imao, I have a special story with this one I'm non stop producing metal music right now and making music videos and stuff mostly for rock and metal bands, all pretty much thanks to this movie On the dvd additionally to all the deleted scenes there were two music videos that were kinda complimentary to the visuals from the movie, one was from Ben Moody if I'm not mistaken and the other one from Velvet Revolver. The second band was pretty much my first exposure to hard rock music, the song was "Come On, Come In" and couldn't stop repeating it on that dvd. Couple of years after I asked my dad to buy me a guitar and the rest is history, I'm eternally grateful to this movie for everything I am doing nowadays

Jessica Alba had a kidney infection during the filming and nearly fainted when she was with Julian McMahon in the space station scene. Stan Lee has said that Michael Chiklis's Thing is his favourite performance in any "Marvel" film ever. As part of his costume for The Thing, Michael Chiklis wore prosthetic teeth. To prepare himself to speak with the prostheses, Chiklis wore them when reading to his children. Chris Evans improvised some of his dialogue. Michael Chiklis was offered the role of Thing after Jennifer Garner suggested him for it. Many comic-book fans disliked the way Doctor Doom was portrayed. Original series author Stan Lee, who plays Willy the Postman, agreed with them. Jessica Alba dyed her hair blonde for this movie but wore a blonde wig for the second. Jessica Alba met future husband Cash Warren on the set of this movie. Cash was the assistant to the film's director Tim Story. This was the third superhero movie to be released in 2005. The first two were Elektra (2005) and Batman Begins (2005). Tim Robbins was considered for Dr. Doom. Jamie Little's debut. (at around 1h 35 mins) The name of the "Latverian" ship in the final shot means misspelled "toE head" instead of "toW head" in Russian. Maria Menounos's debut. Michael Chiklis' wife called into the set one time without announcing she was coming. She saw her husband in full make-up as The Thing and was so distressed by what she saw that she had to be physically escorted from the set in order to compose herself.

And the ironic thing about Doom's comic origin is, I believe, the lab accident didn't even mess up his face all that had, he's just that vain. It's when he puts on the mask while it's still hot like when you ignore the waiter about the plate being hot that does it.

As a kid I adored this movie, but now that I'm older, I can see why people didn't like it.

I just hope we get John Krasinski and Emily Blunt for the sequels and I saw some cool fan castings for Johnny and Ben Grimm. I’d love Andrew Garfield as Johnny I think. Guess we’ll see

The best piece of footage in this video was Willy the mailman giving Johnny some mail from Fantastic Four: World's Greatest Heroes because it reminded me that at least there's one pretty good Fantastic Four cartoon. Fun fact in that episode the Skrulls make a simulation of the Baxter Building that includes Reed's server room being full of delicious spaghetti, hanging from the walls and ceiling.

I actually enjoyed this movie its not special or spectacular but im enterained by this and plus it has Jessica alba in it so thats a bonus for me mostly because theirs something nice to look at on screen

Michael chiklis had to get therapy on set to deal with the claustrophobia of being in the thing suit. He was the star of my favorite show The shield as a teenager and as a huge fantastic four fan I've watched many interviews and you can tell he's legit.

honestly these two movies are great and i don't see what you people are comparing it to when you say they suck. Acting is top notch,effects are amazing,casting is darn perfect,action scenes are entertaining. The way these two get treated is almost freakish in nature.
