I think John also ended up becoming a masochist due to the abuse he went through as a child. Like you said, “Yes” was the key to his survival and the answer to all his problems later in life. I think when you’re first kidnapped by him and you have to escape the bunker, he says something like “I opened up every hole in my body and when those were filled, I created more.” He was backed into an inescapable corner in which the only means of escaping pain was to find _enjoyment_ in it. That was his coping mechanism and it was something he had no choice but to learn to find pleasure in suffering. John said Joseph made him realize he was “always taking, always receiving,” and that Joseph eventually convinced John to use his alignment with pain for the benefit of the cult. It wasn’t until Joseph came along did he begin taking enjoyment in harming _others_.
exactly the same as i thought, he tried to enjoy the pain to escape from it, and know he tries to teach the same to others. by accepting the pain by just saying "yes" to everything
I fell bad for john after the separation he got adopted by extreamly religious parents abused by them and because all of that he transformed in a psycophat and a mashocist
Crispyratx I'd really love to see an analysis of Joseph Seed since I think he's one og the more interesting characters. I imagine that's already in the works, but still.
My personal favorite of the family members. Masterful performance by his actor as well. The quick personality shifts, the quirky facial expressions. The unhinged feeling. My favorite by far.
I don't get this. John directly takes pleasure in hurting people and in his bunker have people strung up like some Hannibal style art... He puts people through big pain and keeps people locked up in a bunker and pains them until they give in. Again he also enjoys it and does what he does more to please his own sadistic urges rather than doing it because he believes it needs to be done like Jacob or doing it because they have been brainwashed into believe she does good like Faith. I cant really see how he is more "morally sane" than the others in any way especially Faith...
I think he is the most evil compared to his siblings. He is way more sadistic and cruel to his captives and seems to take pleasure in harming them, which ironically is the opposite of Jacob
Welllll there is one way John can get me to say yes. 😉 But out of all of them, John was the most tragic. I hated to have killed him. He did have a chance to grow his wings back.
Fun Fact: If John is allowed to land, he will steal a car and drive to his bunker. That is where the cut scene - that involves his actual death - takes place.
_I think that "feeling" towards us / agent is for both, female and male, using the male deputy Adeleide released some comments like "John loves you" etc, etc, I heard them in the Spanish audio. In conclusion, John loves both sexes for what he would say is bi._
That's a general theme of Far Cry games after 1. 2 - Jackal wasn't what he was explained about. 3 - while Jason is in the right, Vaas was outcasted by his sister and the pmc leader was trying to bring the island to modern civilization. 4 - the resistance wanted the country to either be national fascism or a drug empire.
All of these Far Cry 5 stories on RU-vid, everyone ignores the fact the sins carved into their flesh was done by their parents. It's not a "cult" thing. It was a part of their abuse.
@@makadray No. It was his parents. John would tatoo a sin and rip it iff. Why? Because his parents carved sins into their flesh. You come in saying "no" as if. Well it's quite obvious that you're wrong, since both John and Joseph both display the same type of scars.
When John tears the shirt open so he can tattoo the Deputy's sin on their chest with the female deputy it is kind of implied he is staring at a pair of mommy milkers revealed when he ripped the shirt open. Sloth is laziness which fits him since he chooses to run rather than defend himself only doing so after the Deputy chases him.
You mischaracterize the crusades, it was not there to save the infidels from sin but to pave a safe path for Christian pilgrims to the holy lands after news of gross abuse regarding pilgrims surfaced.
@@someguy9293 truer words have never been spoken. The cause for the Crusades was initially pure, but the Pope’s decision to formally “absolve” every crusader of sin and “assure” a resting place in heaven brought the worst of the worst amongst their ranks. Those knaves raped and pillaged and burned all their way to Jerusalem. Call it spoils of war, but it was particularly brutal even when compared to any other war around that time period. I ultimately blame it on institutionalist corruption. At least Seed’s boys had no papal influence or jurisdiction when they announced their own “crusade” lmao
@@someguy9293the knights of Europe were also told they had a chance to gain greater glory, abd the men at arms soldiers and civilians were told they could also pillage and loot whatever city snd settlement and that they be forgiven upon reaching Jerusalem city. Of course what they did was wrong but they were lied by corrupt men who sought personal power for themselves.
