I didn't mind 6, didn't love it either. At first I was super bummed and disappointed with it because of the hype however after putting it down deleting it from my hard drive for other games. About a year and a half post launch I had nothing new to play so I gave it another go with very little expectation and found myself enjoying it, repetitive for sure but it's a far cry game so that's to be expected but to kill the time and escape from everyday bullshit it was better than Valhalla for sure
I remember so many people shat on this, and now are upset that Ubisoft keeps sticking to the same exact formula. Just goes to show that gamers don’t want anything new even when they ask for it.
My absolute favourite far cry game of the series. Really love the scenery of Oros its so immersive and such a great experience. I really hope this far cry will get a sequel one day as I think there's a lot of hidden depth to this game.
I still remember me and my childhood friend being super into the animals in the game and like a pokedex we played over the course of a 2 months finding and taming each animal, searching up guides what regions of the map to find them, and our little ecstatic selves realizing we could go on legendary beast taming quests. Great memories for my younger self.
This game made me realize another really great setting idea for Far Cry. Imagine you're a tourist with your friends, and you get stuck in a remote forest with a tribe of cannibals. Similar to the movie "Green Inferno." It would mix elements of horror survival and action thriller.
I always wanted a far cry in the late 80s early 90s where you're like a dea agent fighting the cocaine cartels and corrupt military but it made dark and grimey and realistic not all goofy and wacky
I watched TheGamingBeaver play this series, and it looked so fun. I started playing a few days ago, and boy, is it one of my favorite games. Everything just feels so real, beautiful, and action-packed. I can't get enough.
What are the odds! Just yesterday I dove back into this game completely out of the blue and you’re telling me it was also the games 8th birthday! Hell yeah. Amazing game, still. 👌
Primal was such a breath of fresh air compared to previous games although the combat and story are kinda lacking. Also I LOVE how NPC’s have a cycle throughout their day. That’s why I love attacking camps at night, since most of them are sleeping.
this game is absolutely fantastic, my favourite in the series i absolutely ADORE the world design and worldbuilding. like you said, it’s not historically accurate, but it feels very grounded. i love how the climate of the different parts of Oros clearly changes how the people there live, especially in the south. even if the gameplay gets a bit repetitive, the world feels more genuinely alive than most other games i’ve played
whats cool about this games language, is that they got someone who is an expert in the theorised proto-indo-european language to create the language in this game and the language is an imagined proto-proto-indo-european language, they actually made 3 versions of it, the main one used by 2 tribes, and then they used a more standard academic PIE language for the other one. Its a game I still need to play because im really interested in that time period.
My favorite FC game. It was amazing to feel getting transported to cavemen times. I really wish Ubisoft would do other FC spin-offs in different settings, like maybe ancient Greece or northern Europe, or celtic Britain, maybe medieval times, or indigenous America, or even wild west. It could be so cool.
far cry primal is in my top 10 favorite games that I've tried, I had it on disk when it first came out, completed the game then a few years later I got a disk free ps5 and I just repurchased it yesterday, still just as good as whenever it came out.
Recently came across this in the PlayStation store and have really enjoyed it, though I'll admit if I could change some things I'd like to have some kind of armor (animal leather and turtle shells maybe), and it'd be nice if I could go out on missions with a few warriors instead always being solo with only an animal partner, there's no level, but I've acquired plenty of skill points to get pretty much everything I need, but other than increasing my health and upgrading my weapons I don't feel like the character itself has gotten any faster or stronger again armor and a few warriors would help.
Far cry primal is my favorite game. The fact that it's unique made me love it more, as well as the animal taming part. Once I've replayed this game 3 times in a row because I kept finishing it too fast, lol.
I'd be really interested to hear your thoughts on Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey, the game by Patrice Desilets that released a few years ago. It's the only other major prehistoric game I can think of off the top of my head, and just so happens to have that lineage to Ubisoft considering Desilets was a co-creator of Assassin's Creed.
Was 8 years ago I played this game on moment of release I loved it and still play it to this day. I Just have not played in a while wanna get back into it.
I’ve been playing it for a while cause I’ve been playing on and off but so far I’ve loved every aspect sometimes the story is hard to follow but in my opinion it’s a great story that fits with the time I already love learning about Stone Age and stuff and I know it isn’t accurate but it’s still fun to see it and be in what I’m studying
Primal is a masterpiece. I think it is one of the best UBI games. It should have become a separate IP all by itself, at least a trilogy. The gameplay is exciting from beginning to end. The graphics and gameplay hold up right until this very day. It is quite amazing. I am on my fourth play through right now.
I played this game from start when i got it with ps4 and its one of the best games if u ask me.its cool because there is udam and izila enemies. But its a lotle bit scary like music is scary in my opinion. But its one of the most underated games
This is the only Far Cry game that I have ever played. Outside of the opening for Far Cry 4 to see if you could beat the game without leaving that room. I loved this game it was really fun and different. I never understood why it got so much hate at the time. I paid full price for the steelbook disc copy. Never regretted it. I almost wish they made a sequel, but it is one of the best single-player game experiences that I have come across. I still think back to that game today with fond memories. The game was just fun. I don't say that a lot about games anymore. It didn't feel like a chore to play like a lot of games. I never tried replying it, but I still want to if I can ever find the time.
Farcry primal is my favorite farcry , I'm proud to say I achieved the survival of the fittest ( survivor mode on, permadeath on, expert difficulty, 100% completion) that survival mode add a ton of changes to the game like no mini map , owl can't dive attack or drop bombs , can't carry as much , less resources in the world, nights are darker and last longer and more predators come out , crafting isn't instant but now takes a few seconds, fast traveling is somewhat limited as now it costs meat and stamina and oh yeah now there's a stamina bar lol I'm sure there are even more changes I'm just forgetting since it's been so long but it's definitely the way to play primal and the 2nd chance is a little more forgiving where as long as you've progressed far enough you'll respawn
Some people hate this one for the silliest of reasons. It's those same reasons that make FCP one of the most challenging and unique gaming experiences ever!
Far Cry Primal has to be my second most favourite out of all the Far Cry, i always wanted an game based in the 10.000 B.C, this game was a dream come true, i loved the whole building your village was so incredible, i miss have building your city or village in a game, i would love to see an Far Cry based in the Dinosaur Era,
Just bought this game and new Dawn for a combined 13 dollars on the PS store. Amazingly enough I never played any of these games. And people were telling me that far cry 3 and 4 were excellent games. I played them and instantly fell in love. So now I have primal 5, new Dawn, and 6 to play. I’m pretty damn excited honestly
The Far Cry game for me. I love this game so much and I love the similarities between it and the RPG AC games. Takkar is a badass and I want a Far Cry Primal 2.
I got this game on my birthday when it can out I think a or little before idk but till this day the game ill say this game is nice to play I still like it if your thinking about give this game a try ill say go for it right now this game is going for very cheap on steam any other far cry games as well.
I am playing it for the first time, it's the first and last far cry I'll ever play. The idea is so good, but something's lacking to make it memorable...neolithic-pop of quality ? haha I'm so fed up with the villagers siging Sajichassu sajichassu" all day long. But i'm liking it so far.
I have to admit this is not the best game of the series. But it has a special place in my heart. I remember when i get this game on Christmas. i was 12 and i was so excited to play such a game in a stone age. I can't believe it's gonna be 10 years after 48months :(. When Ubisoft was making decent games if not good. Where all those years went ?
I played Primal last year on ps plus and as a history nerd (that’s why I love AC so much) being able to play through prehistory was so refreshing. The DLC was garbage but I platinumed the game and it’s my favorite far cry.
