Farewell Fuji X70 - The Small But MIGHTY Travel/Pocket Camera! 

Thank you so much for the comment! I never actually got round to getting any of the X100 cameras unfortunately so the X70 was kind of like my very own mini version. Honestly, if they do a refresh of the camera but keep the size the same I'll definitely be getting one! I agree, the image quality is yet to be trumped by any other camera of that size! How do you find the X100V? Honestly I've heard nothing but good things about them, they seem incredible!

You're not wrong! Nothing beats it for pocketability but the price is absolutely ludicrous now! I've recently got a capture clip for my X-T4 and I must say, it's refreshing to have a camera at hand all the time again!

Hey thanks for stopping by. I bloody well do miss it and talk about it all the time to my mate. I genuinely keep dreaming that Fuji would make an X80 but I can't see it happening - I keep toying with the idea of getting another one but the cost just isn't worth it in my opinion. The GRII is a tempting second hand purchase too and I've been looking at that recently! I just with that either of them had weather sealing as my ideal pocket APSC camera needs to take some rain and the X100V isn't NEARLY as pocketable as influencers would have you believer - especially not compared to the X70/GRII.

I sold mine in 2020 for less than £400 and have regretted it ever since. Can’t believe they’re going for £900 now! That’s not the reason I regret it though, I just want it back but can’t bring myself to pay that 😢 I’m no pro so considering xf10 now

Hey there, thanks for taking the time to comment. The Electronic shutter may be active due to one of two things, the "Silent mode" may be active - this disables the mechanical shutter I BELIEVE. The other thing may be if the iso is quite high it will increase the shutter speed top electronic ranges to accommodate it. Unfortunately the mechanical shutter only goes to 1/4000 I believe! really hope this helps!

You're not kidding haha the Peak Design Capture Clip keeps my X-T4 to hand though and the X70 prices now are laughable!

I would NEVER sell mine. Also, I don;t think I’ve EVER taken video on it, because it isn’t that kind of camera. But the photos…. 🤩

Thanks! I ended up selling it here in UK for £425, the market was around £350ish last week but I think it's about to peak so if you are planning to sell I wouldn't wait too long!

Yes, Fuji US, they're outstanding and will help how they can. My X70 was broken beyond repair cost, and they offered me a refurbished one instead for 250. Since today a used one is around 600+ on eBay, and often from Japan with duties, ship costs, etc., I was thrilled with this repair center awesome replacement offering. Overall, I couldn't be more pleased with their after-sale service.
