Farinata | Recipe ⬇️
Farinata is an Italian flatbread made from chickpea flour. It's a traditional street food from the Liguria region, usually served as a snack or appetizer. It is cooked until golden brown on the outside and creamy on the inside. The edges are slightly crispy and the center is soft and delicate. You can top farinata with a variety of ingredients like onions, cherry tomatoes, olives, and herbs. It's a delicious and nutritious way to enjoy a snack or light meal.
To a bowl, add
-1⅓ cups chickpea flour
-2⅔ cups water
-1 tsp salt
-5 tbsp olive oil
And whisk. Cover and let it stand at room temperature for 2-3 hours (if possible, overnight). Skim as much foam as possible from top of batter. Pour on a baking dish with more olive oil and top with
-onion
-rosemary
Bake in a preheated oven at 250C/480F for around 20 mins and enjoy :)
