Farm Chores on a Snow Day 

As a bigger size person I've been bullied and picked on my entire life. I'm glad you refused to respond to the weight shaming/bullying. It's no one's beeswax!!

I'm not really good with words, but I want you to know that your joy with the most mundane of chores is palpable and inspiring.

Abbey has become so quiet with the fowl. I'm proud of her. As she gets older she'll get it more and more.

I trained a couple of barn cats when i was young. They would climb up my pants and jackets, to reach my shoulders. And then, they would ride the rest of my day. I'm glad I'm not the only one, who did or does that. They make great pair of ear muffs. And their purring makes a great radio station. All things you do out on the farm, that city folk would never even think of.

She may be more well-behaved around the birds, but she's still floofy chaos. Don't ever change, Abby.❤️

Morgan, the part of the video where you were clearing the drive of snow, that slow motion footage, that was just so peaceful and relaxing, I absolutely loved it! It was great seeing Abby laying drowsy in the snow. She and Toby certainly love the snow and they certainly must be busy patrolling at night, as Abby is so tired in the morning. Both Abby and Toby seem so relaxed and happy on your farm. All your animals are very peaceful and relaxed, and look healthy and content. It's great to see the close bond you have with them. There's nothing like doing Farm chores, when there's snow on the ground and blue sky.

"Release the quackens!" and the quackens don't want to be released. 😁 Toby seems to be sleepy and calmer than usual. Any playing/chewing on that ball of snow is so cute. It's so rare when they don't meet you in the morning at the gate already. Someone had a busy night and decided to stay snug and warm and sleep in late. I take it as they love their new house?

I've only been watching you for about a year, and at first I never thought I'd enjoy seeing someone do work like this, but you give a feeling and a vibe about your effort that makes it hard not to appreciate how much you do. Good on you for pushing through the hard stuff, and I hope for continued success. I know I certainly couldn't handle the things you do, but that makes it all the more impressive and influential.

You are getting better and better at video formatting. Liked this style. The music choice and entire segment while showing you clearing driveway was very peaceful.❄️❄️❄️

Abby is such a good girl! I noticed how well behaved she was a few moments before you commented on it. She just laid down comfy around the birds, like they're just part of her pack/home. So proud of you and her!

It would be better to rinse the wood ash before using it as dust bath. Water reacts with certain oxides (potassium, sodium and calcium) in wood ash and form alkaline solution. Melted snow or droplets from messy drinking can roll down the feathers and form saturated alkaline droplets which may cause caustic burns. Since you're selling soap, you can always keep the water from the rinsing for soap making. That's how old school soap is made. Can probably save some money on buying lye.

Molly is a feline supermodel. She does everything with grace, even when she's attempting to take a chunk out of her fellow cats. I noticed from the still that Toby is starting to look more like his cousin Mr. Mojo (Hidden Heights Farm) who looks like a canine version of The Rock.

Your noon release videos have become my making lunch at home companions, really enjoy listening/watching. I share your thoughts on winter, on the one hand yay a gentle winter. On the other 😬 A northern New England winter should not be that gentle.

Hey Morgan. I like you showing the other chores around the farm. Such as tractor work. I noticed something that may work better to clear snow. Try grabbing the loader bucket and lower it to just barely touch or hover just over the ground and push the snow like a blade. This may work better than driving in reverse and having to twist your neck to see behind you. Hope this helps. Have a good day!

It is a blessing having our very own 2 year old Maremma Sheepdog with our family. We live in the city, so he protects us - and the neighbours - as his "livestock". I really enjoy watching your 2 Maremmas in your farm. They can light up anybody's day.

I'm not really one for commenting on videos, because I don't want to sound weird or anything. But I want to say, I personally am a fan of just everything you're doing, Morgan. I've probably watched all your videos at least three times each while I'm doing my whatever at home, so you've certainly got one weirdo invested in seeing your content.

hey Morgan. Thank you for answering my question about the garden hose a few videos back. I wanted to return the kindness with a idea that I found at the local hardware store for hooking up the hose to the hydrant hassle free. There is a quick connect camlocks that will screw onto the end of the hydrant and garden hose. These eliminate any fuss over trying to get the hose to turn onto the threads in freezing temps. Plus its a heck lot easier to hook up. Push in, do up the 2 locks and done. We use the bigger versions all the time on the fire department and never had issues with them in cold weather. If interested, just search for garden hose cam-lock connector. Have a great day!

lol you wouldn't catch my father dead wearing a unitard but he lived in his coveralls. I left SD because I just had to get away from the cold and winter conditions. But that day on the farm would be enjoyable. I know you are the videographer but your video editor does a great job!!

Here in NH, we're going to get a two-day Arctic blast. It's to be -17 tomorrow night with a brutal wind chill that could feel like 40 below zero. I will be thinking of you and your animals, in Northern VT, where it might be the same. Groundhog says 6 more weeks of winter. Yippee! Then it's thaw and mud. 😮

Here in West Europa we only get snow like that every 5-10 years. when it;s that rare it becomes an adventure and a treat and not a nuisance anymore.

It is with great satisfaction that we watch the video at our dining table in a warm kitchen with smells from cooking and sweet desserts. Snow is so beautiful......on postcards.

Totally dig the slow motion snow blowin! So cool! I would put that up there with one of those mood vids with a trickling creek and autumn leaves falling, and the slow, self-reflective piano laid down in the background. You got to pull a long loop of that stuff!

The Beaver Retriever Sookie and I spent time in the backyard yesterday doing feral cat bed chores & picking up deposits Sookie leaves. ☀️Sunny & almost 50°.. Around 5pm the wind kicked up coming out of the Northwest.. We went inside.. Too cold ❄🥶❄️ ..I live on the Slietz bay my yard butts up against a wetland area..We've been icy every morning..
