My first shiny ever was when I had just quit shiny breeding for Shuppet (I had to breed something else for a friend) and I stepped into the flowers in front of the Daycare. It was a horde and my first thought was "oh god why" until I saw the shiny Hoppip. You can only imagine how loudly I screamed, considering the last time I had ever seen a shiny was when I was eight and it was a Graveler that used Self-Destruct.

I once encountered a shiny Graveler in Platinum. I knew it was totally going to self-destruct, but somehow, it ended up not doing that, and I still have it. I'm currently hunting for a shiny Caterpie now with the Pokeradar, and it's utter torture. This is not the kind of thing anyone should get into the habit of doing.

I found a shiny Zangoose in a horde, but because there was a Seviper and I knew that if there is a Seviper with a Zangoose, it'll attack it, so I was going to take out the Seviper, but the other Zangooses already made it faint, and so instead, my Pokemon's attack HIT THE FREAKING SHINY ZANGOOSE. I got so mad when it fainted. ;_;

I found a shiny Mareep in a horde, which I was really happy about! It took me forever though. I went through over 150 hordes without finding a shiny. Edit: I have found 3 shiny Whismur in the past hour.

I actually found a shiny Mime Jr in a horde and I wasn't even using this method and I wasn't even looking for a shiny, I was just getting Alakazam's mega stone and horde of Mime Jr's appeared with one of them being shiny, good thing I didn't use any repels, otherwise I would've missed it

Good video, I've found 4 shinies in X, first one Flabe shortly after Shiny Charm before Janurary, my last 3 (Frogadier, Emolga, and Plusle) all within 3 weeks, Plusle from Monday morning, never saw any in horde yet, but I never really tried, I think I might try that soon.

I found a shiny Nosepass after about 20 sweet scents, which is sooner than I thought. For 2 days I've been hunting for either shiny Yanma or shiny Electrike. Since I'm not too interested in Nosepass, I'm willing to trade it for either of those shinies.

i got a shiny Vanilite in a horde while i was looking for Smoochum, and a Foongus. also gotten a lot of pkmn by chain fishing (red Bascullin, Poliwhirl, Skrelp, Remoraid, Magikarp, a Druddigon by walking in Victory Road, and a Gulpin in the first 2 hours that i started playing my Y version (1st shiny in the game)

in 24 hours i got a shiny wingull, bellsprout, seviper and then a shiny larvitar from terminus cave which totally blew my mind :D they are so rare there, and i only met maybe 5-6 hordes of them out of maybe 200 hordes.. i was so excpecting a shiny geodude or durant to pop up but luckily i managed to find the one i hoped for :))

Same here :D But not my first shiny :P my first was a luvdisc in pokemon black 1 at the ocean place then same place and game but a shiny shelder right after the shiny luvdisc so there was chain fishing then? then my 3rd shiny in chargestone cave pokemon white 1 second pokemon battle was shiny then pokemon Y reflection cave first encounter shiny mr.mime and I slapped my self some and I crapped my pants like I did on the klink

It's not worthless because of the shiny haxorus event from black and white 2. If you can care for it and battle well with it you have a good pokemon! Shiny is just an added bonus.

Try this in Horde Hunting, as a front 'mon; Sturdy Carbink. Skill Swap, Dazzling Gleam, and any other 2 moves. When a Shiny shows, Skill Swap Sturdy to the Shiny, then Dazzling Gleam. It should kill everything but the Shiny, and leave said Shiny at 1HP. Have a Spore and False Swiper for if it does shenanigans as well.

This is just something that happened to me that I thought was cool I was like "Ok, if I don't get a shiny in this encounter, I quit" and I didn't get it, but, I was like *"Ok, just 1 more won't hurt, right?"* and I got the shiny right there, I evolved the Geodude into a Graveler and was like *"Oh LoOk At ThIs GuYs I gOt A sHiNy GrAvElEr"*

Today I was EV training (Sp. Attack) in the Frost Cavern, and I ran into a SHINY Smoochum! That is the rarest horde in there! It has a MILD nature, and 3 flawless 31 iv stats! (not in the best stats)

This is amazing. I've encountered 3 shiny pokemon so far doing this. Shiny Hoppip, shiny Nosepass, and shiny Yanma. All just under 3 hours. I'm sure I'll find more later on. It would make for good giveaways soon as well for those who really want them.

The shinies I've gotten from horde battles were a random Skorupi. I was looking for Ekans for dex, and this beauty pops up. The next two were both a Foongus. Trying to look for Shiny Trevenant and both of these pop up on the same day!

Well first you can find lvl 18-20 eevees on the route with all the stones. Then just use sweet scent. It's sorta 20 outa 2000 to get eevees but keep your hopes up. I've seen some eevees but not in hordes!

I've found 3 shinings through hordes battle. Gulpin, Scraggy and Psyduck. The others were Masquerain and Durant through random encounter.

combee on route 4 also knows sweet scent. and run it makes the same horde appear especially in a surrounded by rocks more often. (Correction)

Since I use hordes for EV training I'll have to keep an eye out from now on, but I have still only encountered three shiny's ever, a starly in platinum, a lilipup in White 2 and a ferroseed from breeding via international ditto, and I have been playing these games since basically sapphire's release (also not counting event shiny's)

I give up on shinys I've tried all the different ways for hours and still not one single shiny. It's so hard I've even looked up how to cheat them in the game but I couldn't find a way. I'm pathetic lol. Not begging or anything but if anyone is kind enough to give me one that will be great it will be my first shiny and I will treat it with love and care

Well, EV training in Hordes definitely works as a great Shiny spawning, I got a Wingull Shiny and Murkrow Shiny while EV training in Speed.

I've encountered a shiny Geodude in hordes 2 different times. I caught the first (barely). The second one got KO'd by the others using magnitude before I could catch it.

Minor thing you can do to make it slightly faster, have your sweet scenter first in your party, get em knocked out, then have your lv 100 boi next after it, once it's KO'd the pokemon after it goes
