One piece is the definition of poetic storytelling . Oda just knows how to make the most smallest things so emotional.

This arc was a masterpiece indeed

I remember when Luffy said “These are a sign of our friendship!”, I said to my friend, “That’s the cheesiest thing I’ve ever heard.” Cut to Episode 129, and I’m weeping over it. Also, the scene with Robin being inducted into the crew in Episode 130 is probably my favorite scene in the entire series, simply because you can watch it out of context and immediately know what each Straw Hat is all about.

The ending of Alabasta never fails to bring a tear to my eye. The X mark moment is such a memorable one.

It doesn’t matter how many times I see them. Some parts of this show make me cry every single time

I don't understand how some people don't watch OP because of the length. Every reactor, whether QueenBlaze or Ishinobi ends up a sniveling mess. 😅. Oda is a master of storytelling

There are a lot of scenes that will make you cry even harder in One Piece. But there's one scene that your heart will break in a way, that you're gonna sink on your own tears (everybody do). Be prepared and just wait for it.

I just started your One Piece journey a week ago and jumped through some highlights and it's so fun to see the evolution of your love for the show. 😄 In episode two it was still "I don't know how many episodes I'm gonna watch..." and now it's that emotional roller-coaster because you're already almost as deeply invested as we are. 😊 Honestly I think everyone who makes it to Alabasta will go the whole way. Alabasta is basically the 2nd High Point of the show but the thing is those just get higher over time. This is basically methadone for me while waiting for the next chapter because the arc we're in could very well be the best ever which is just ridiculous for a story approaching the 30 year mark, it just gets better because all of these little hints and comments will eventually form a larger picture. Getting answers to questions you had for years is just so satisfying. 😅

So i hope that you will react and enjoy them because they are still the fav filler episodes to many OP fans :D NOTE: are you asking probably at 11:50 what Jango and Fullbody are doing here? Let me explain! Like Buggy and Koby & Hermeppo stories, the third "cover stories" of the manga was focused on Jango, but unfortunately it didnt got an animated episodes so if someone want to know what happened to him and how he becomed a Marine, you must to look in the web "Jango Dance Paradise" that there a website with all the cover pages that covering his full story :3 Also the BGM its from a special short animation movie, to be specific: Among the 2nd movie of One Piece: Clockwork Island Adventure (2001) an animated short coupled with that movie was released: "Jango's Dance Carnival" (Runtime: 5 minutes and 30 seconds) This short story are taking place in the mirrorball island, between the EP 45 and 48 (before that Mugiwara crew arrived to Loguetown) since its an rare episode that someone react, if you are interested you could include it in a future reaction video because still a very fun short animated episode :D

Currently on episode 207, about to start another arc, but even now I still really love the Alabasta Arc. It's probably going to be my favorite for a long while. While it makes sense that Vivi & Karoo stayed in Alabasta, a part of me wished to see them join the crew especially to see how she's react/interact with their newest member Nico. Also I want to say Karoo and Bon Clay were my favorite secondary characters in the arc.

When the King of a country bows that low to you... its a big deal.

Not surprising this series is a rollercoaster of emotions it puts you through. Though I do hope you give Alabasta is hilarious and the Abridged movie of Alabasta.

I really hope the live action does Bon Clay Justice, he is a real treasure

About what I learn in Alabasta arc : A kind of reason to fight is someone laugh at your friend's dream. A kind of justice is they are criminal but they do the right thing A kind of friendship is called Bon Clay and the sign on left arm means friendship

Fun fact Bon Clay and Jango are voiced by the same voice actor in these episodes and later on, remember that voice cus you will hear it a 3rd time

Bon Clay is the 🐐 and that farewell to Vivi was this the first One Piece moment that made me SOB.

One of the best episodes! I like to point out that if you back and watch when Ussop takes out the ship, you can see him casually getting the cannon ready. Which makes his reaction to doing it even better. One of the funniest moments on this show. Ussop is easily one of my favorite characters

Love your reactions, this is a pretty good arc, so emotional but believe me, there are lot more emotionals arcs to come, like five times more and also lot of exciting moments, one piece only gets better and better and thats a true that every fan knows

It is very unfortunate the way Pell's sacrifice developed, however, the explanation makes sense. The chapter where he takes the bomb explosion was released in November of 2001, that's a very unfortunate timing. Mangakas are usually one or two months ahead of the chapter we are reading (they always are some chapters ahead just in case something happens) so these chapters were written just after the 9/11 incident. Now Oda has never said anything specific about it but many people that worked at Jump at the time say the Mangakas and assistants were told to chill with stuff that resembles the real life events if possible, they weren't forced to censor anything but it was like a "guys, let's take it easy on that stuff for a little while" thing.

I remember your videos on one piece were being recommended to me the day of them being released. I haven't eatched a single one, not saying that in a negative way because it was just a moment I saw it and didn't see recommendations until this one popped up again and I see you're finishing alabasta, and IMO vivi is a strawhat can't change my mind. You have to tread carefully though, its hard to avoid spoilers. Its been forever since I watched the older anime, you might have already experienced this, but you will hate a character and end up liking them later, whether its within the same episode or 100s of episodes later, its Oda's thing to do that.

The one thing i need to tell you is that its more than ok to cry, especially when you watch this anime. One Piece has a way of bringing all of us to tears countless times and alot of the times its hardly controlable becase you feel so much in that scene, especially this one where they leave Vivi to venture on. This is a great video and like i said before im happy that your taking the time to watch each episode whether it being filler or not.

I am more surpirced that the "Happyness Punch" worked on Luffy.

Even though One Piece has over 1000 episodes, the Alabasta Arc still remains one of the best, definitely top 3 for me.

i don't know if you did get it but it implied that the reason it didn't rain in alabasta was because of crocodile with his sand devil fruit, the same way as it didn't snow in drum the day ace was there, it didn't rain in alabasta because crocodile absorb the rain. So it's started to rain when he losed conscience.
