Nice!! Old fashion - Normal Doug's rambling videos. My Favs! A couple of thing I noticed. @21:55 Heard Burmese music in background. @38:35 Noticed that item is made up with burmese monies on stems. There are many things to see, its great. Cheers Doug

I think the cat and dog sign roughly translates as the temple doesn't want you to leave your unwanted cats and dogs at the temple.

Thank you. I guess it's kind of an old habit that I've started to pick up again. I walked through the temple shooting video with my GoPro. But once I'd explored the whole place, I turned around and went back a second time. But on the second walk, I got out my Panasonic G85 and just took pictures. I enjoy doing that because you actually see a place with new eyes when you are using a different type of camera. I was suddenly noticing a lot more of the smaller details. With video, you tend to see wide perspectives. But once you start taking pictures, it's like you see all new things as you walk around.

just been there today, it looks MUCH better now, they remodelled the whole area. highly recommend this temple.

My Thai daughter told me the sign say : Do not leave your dog at the temple as the cats my kill them. Maybe the temple do not like people abandonning their pet dog at the temple.

Thanks. That translation makes sense. Though, I didn't see any evidence of life-threatening cats while I was there. I saw a couple of cats and a couple of kittens, and they seemed to be perfectly friendly. And there were the usual temple dogs scattered about.

That special building looks like the Stupa of a South Indian Hindu temple. Known in India as the Gopuras there can be many towers in a temple complex surrounding the central Mandapas.

Most Thai temples have more than one name. There is a name for what the locals called, some also a name what the king has bestowed, some are named after the past famous abbot of the temple, and also some are the official names.
