John Robinson RC had a range issue too and figured out it’s the way the antenna is bundled with the receiver wires. Remove the tie wrap and extend the antenna away from the other wires should resolve it.

Looks pretty amazing for the price. Will probably pick up the carbon roller and set a goal for 150 km goal this summer! 🔥🔥🔥

The GNSS is pretty accurate and used by many. There is a firmware update for it and there is also an updated app from what I have read. Great car man. Good tip on the antenna and rear spoiler. The only negative on the car IMHO is the wiring. It looks like a rats nest with ty raps. I was under the impression that the antenna lead was compromised if it was bundled with power cables. There are different types of antennas and some are actually designed to work in a horizontal position but not this one. It needs to be vertical for best results. "Close to the ground a vertical antenna will work better than a horizontal antenna. This is because the horizontally polarized RF signal is basically shorted out by the ground, but a vertically polarized signal is not." Seems logical.

So the Carbon Fiber Brushless AK 917 I just bought comes with 67mm tires (O.D.), which look better on car than the 65mm tires. The problem I have is I'm unable to find ANY 67mm dia. tires other than a set of foams. Since I'm not doing speed runs yet, where do I find a set of decent looking 67mm tires (mounted or not) ?

I want to build a hand held cordless dust blower - all the ones on amazon are horrible. I started by looking up pre built RC motors like the DC ducted turbines that would connect to an ESC etc. Where I start to get lost is if I 3d print a designed housing unit and all the components are going to on that unit... will I need an ESC or would I directly wire a throttle mechanism to the battery? HI that is the 2nd I seen with all the wires tided together I ordered the same one I will check the wiring .Do you know how much it weighs. In the first 500.Would never pay full price'

These cars are rad

Cut the zip tie and pull your antenna loose from the rest of the wires and re-zip tie the rest of the wires back. The antenna wire catches to much interference being close to other wires or carbon fiber.

Are the tires standard so you can replace and glue and keep the nice wheels?

For real high speed there are some problem because I saw the video from Rc Reviews, the first you need to do take out the tire on the rear mid, that put some increase downforce, the second remove the panel on the back because the can force the rc flip over more often. The air need to flow freely and last and important the rear shock need to be more stiff and the front soft that way retain more stability high speed, check Raz Razin he now to much of this stuff

My recommendation is that you don't buy anything from this brand, I bought the AK 917 in carbon fiber for my son, and these sons of bitches from Rlaarlo sent me the car with the steering wrong, and when I go to adjust it I realize that it There is a screw missing from the servo horn, and when I removed the servo horn I realized that the small teeth it has are completely worn out, this is because the materials they use are garbage, apart from the signal loss problems with the controller Rlaarlo is a mafia now I have my poor son suffering for not being able to use the car, and the worst of all is that Rlaarlo's sons of bitches don't want to take care of it, and the car is less than a month old and has not been used nor a battery for the simple fact that with the steering like this it is unusable.

Be aware and dont buy this car! I am sure much more problems will show off. Will be hard to get spare parts and you can not hold the car straight at speed runs because its simply too small and it will need a Gyro for sure! Its a carpet racer NOT a car for parking lots or street you will destroy your chassis because its simply NOT a street basher. Way to low to the ground, perfekt for indoor carpet

Will a 40mm motor fit on this car?

Razor you are one of the best RC reviewers, but Seriously every RC car reviewer has been given 1 of these and has put out a video in the last week ! This thing is a one trick pony apart from the speed run what else can it do ?. It probably wont have any spares back up (for long) and it wont create a new class of racing. Ive even seen 2 crawlers guys reviewing this. desperate times I suppose !
