Met a couple on holiday a few years ago. He was from glasgow, liked to talk and tell a story while his wife never got a word in. He'd chip in at the start, then say to the wife "you tell this one love" and then proceed with his anecdote while she contniued to sit in silence....lol

The egg on legs/shit through the eye of a needle was always my fave Roy and Renee sketch. Then I see the Channel 9 Nimbo Cumulus sketch on this compilation 🤣🤣🤣. How did I miss this one!?!?
Victoria Wood and Caroline Aherne the best comedy greats taken far too soon, it's so sad we'll never see any more comedy from them, but what we do have is top quality
Reminds me of my old neighbour, even down to the 70s perm. Horrible old boiler, made sure I fell out with her pronto, so I didn't have to be bored shitless with all the hot air.

Not unlike Keeping Up Appearances, except Roy isn’t always a willing accomplice in Renee’s attempts to impress perfect strangers with what she believes are posh topics of conversation. If Roy were married to a Hyacinth, he’d be better-trained and obedient.
I’m always more critical of female comics. I never think they’re as good as males. And, as a woman, I want them to be! But Caroline Aherne was absolutely brilliant. No one has come close 😢❤
