This series aims to show the best vehicles to use in GTA Online in a racing situation. That is, around a regular circuit with a mix of corners and straights. The word "Fastest" means nothing without some context - these are the fastest vehicles around a circuit. How Lap Times Were Obtained Accurately
The best lap time a vehicle can achieve around a circuit determines how good it is and therefore its place within this list.
Each vehicle was taken around the same circuit multiple times, with the best lap time being recorded. For most vehicles this equates to 10 laps per vehicle, but can often be more to ensure the absolute best lap time has been achieved with the vehicle. There are some caveats to this kind of testing though which are worth explaining below.
*Due to RU-vid description length limits the information that should be placed here can instead be read in full here: gtacars.net/gta5/laptime. I recommend reading this for anyone who is confused, interested, or doubts the validity of the results in this video as it explains in great detail the extent to which these results will be useful for you personally, in addition to linking the track used for your own testing/comparison.*
So with that all being said, my vehicle testing should be taken as a guideline. The testing is very accurate for this track and similar tracks when cars are driven close to the maximum without any extra refinements. At the very least you should be able to use this testing to help narrow your field of view for your own personal testing. I would always recommend testing a variety of cars yourself and take into account what kind of tracks you're racing on, what is better for you and your skill level, and even your budget. My testing is meant to guide you, not tell you exactly what to use in every situation.

I completely agree on the drip feed nonsense. These days we have enough stuff in the game that updates on a weekly basis, like the time trials, the premium race, the gun van, selected job series, collectibles even update on a daily basis. When it comes to new content they should just add more of it at the same time. like if they want to stretch everything out, they could realease 6 out of 18 vehicles on dlc day, then one month later another 4, another month later 4 more and so on. Same with missions and jobs. But dripfeeding something big like a 50 car garage or something super small like hard mode for some missions is just frustrating.

I really wish they would just do more with HSW. It's so unbelievably easy to add more HSW cars (like, literally an hour at absolute most and 95% of that time is making the liveries) and in a year we've gotten *4* Even ignoring old cars there's so many good candidates! The Virtue, Panthere, Tulip M-100, all those would really suit HSW IMO but instead we got it on the bloody Issi "Rally" and there's so many fan favourite cars that people would love to see HSW'd: Turismo R, Adder, T20, Jester Classic, Zentorno, Futo, Infernus. Again, it's _really_ easy to add HSW upgrades and it allows them to charge silly money for little effort so I really don't get why they aren't doing more with it

The Issi Rally is actually based on a real rally car but yeah no need for an HSW version really, but then it's all academic for me, I'm on PC where HSW doesn't exist, but the most annoying things is HSW cars that don't have a non-HSW version, like that pontiac GTO type car that i forget the name of.

@@CarlDraper the Issi Rally is not based on a rally car, it's based on a Mini Countryman. There was a WRC car based on a Mini Countryman but modern WRC cars share very little with their production counterparts outside of appearance. Calling a Mini Countryman a rally car is like calling a Bentley Continental a GT Racecar

Let's be completely honest here, we all only care about HSW mods because of the extra performance options. The cosmetic options are nice too but wildly unnecessary(and the liveries are ugly as fuck). I don't understand why they dont just make the performance options a universal option for all vehicles, including NPC vehicles you can steal off the streets and keep to yourself. I'd love to play with a HSW Adder, HWS Bullet, HSW Akuma and HSW Dubsta 2. The way they have been going about HSW, leads me to believe that the whole HSW mods is just going to be yet another interesting idea that they will just forget about in a year. Like the Arena War, open wheel race cars, Tuners...

My biggest disappointment with the cars in this update isn't that they aren't top of their class, they just don't feel unique to drive. They look cool, but I already have cars that look cool and handle almost the same. This isn't the case for every single car in this update, but it applies to far too many of them.

You're right that there are so many cars now that it's hard to get excited about the new ones because so many are basically clones with different body shells. Something that could help rectify this would be if R* gave vehicles more unique engine sounds and put more effort into the interiors. I've little hope of this happening now at this stage of GTA5s life but hopefully it will be something they'll add to the vehicles in GTA6.

Man, I kept on defending this DLC, simply because I really do like GTAO and like to continue to play it... But quite frankly I'm over it at this point. I bought all the cars because I like to collect them, but that's about it. The missions... Played them once by myself and another time with friends, don't need to play them again... They even put the "Hard Mode" in the dripfeed ffs... Such a shame. I just really hope they put all the effort they're lacking on GTAO into the making of GTA6!

Never defend a company in the present if you don't enjoy the stuff they make, just because you enjoyed the stuff they made in the past ;) Criticism is important for companies to continue with good products. If everyone is just happy to consume the stuff they deliver for the sake of consuming, we end up with a product in a state like GTA Online.

Highly doubt they would do that since the Phantom Wedge outside of mission work used to be just like you are fearing for the Brickade and they fixed the PW to be tough against ramming cars like the mission one.

It's been a collector's DLC, not a racer's one for sure. I bought everything and have had a lot of fun customising them and integrating them into collections. For driving, I'm only really bothered about the Powersurge, which is my new go to time trial bike, and a handful of the cars. The FOMO and release schedule both suck balls though.

I really appreciate your dedication for testing these rather… cookie cutter and wasted potential of a DLC. I agree with your stance on the drip feed being given the barest minimal of hype, and then just get taken away the next week, which is why I haven’t bought these cars at full price, barring the Imani cars. Really now, R* can’t seem to keep themselves consistent with time and management these days, it was a wonder I haven’t been on that doesn’t have anything fun and profitable to boot.

the HSW Weaponised Ignus and HSW Cyclone II are much faster than the Krieger. The non-HSW W. Ignus is about the same pace as the Krieger

Not a good DLC in terms of pure racing content and speed, but I like the cars still. Especially the 300R. You can armor it and put a missile jammer and it looks cool. My favourite car to use in Free Roam atm

Even the 50 car garage is annoying. Its 5 separate 10 car garages in practice, so still limited display options; but 1 when phoning the mechanic, which just makes for an awkward list. Would have been much nicer to have the Casino Public Garage made a Player Garage under the executive office building.

If the MT wasn't a better looking XXR it would probably be the best supercar 2.2 downforce modifier compared to the Weaponized ignus not having one so a standard 2x increase and then the like the 4mph higher top speed

downforce modifiers don't work like that. In fact, the MT's downforce modifier of 220 means it's actually barely has more downforce than a normal car with a spoiler, and that's only when the Entity is near top speed. A low speeds the Entity MT will actually have less downforce than the Weaponised Ignus. You can see this by the fact the MT doesn't have amazing grip, and that's not caused by the advanced flags If I had to guess I'd say it'd probably get a 59 second lap or so without the advanced flags, so about the same as the Virtue. Add in HSW and it'd probably get up into the 55s like the W. Ignus and Cyclone II

You underestimate the Brickade 6x6 so much, its a Phantom Wedge(one of the most fun, if not the most fun, vehicles to just dick around in free roam on public sessions) that can tank 40+ homing missiles, anything that makes Oppressor Mk2 griefers go "REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE" when you're just having, simple, unadultered fun without ruining other people's experience(except the ones specialized in ruining other people fun) is a Hall of Famer to me, hell, when I still played this game, I was having fun wreaking havoc on the npcs while a sweaty Mk2 griefer was trying his hardest to kill me, so hard he didn't notice a humorous fella on a jetpack approaching and killing him. A jetpack killed a Mk2. My fun just tripled that moment rofl, needless to say the Mk2 fella just left the lobby haha, I know its a racing channel, but don't say things like "nothing to ride home about", a lot of people who race in GTA Online also do a lot of free roam activities, and this beast is one of the most versatiles, if not the most, vehicles in the game, and by saying that you disencourage people to give it a try ;)

@@PabloHenrique92 serious answer, he wouldn't talk about the viability of certain cars in freeroam because like you said, "its a racing channel". the testing focuses on car performance over car utility. People who watch these videos and enjoy freeroam survivability would either know that information already about the Brickade 6x6 or would have other communities and creators who focus on stuff like that to watch and get their opinions. Ultimately its also an opinion: Brough felt this DLC to be lacklustre _in terms of car performance_ (as well as the scummy FOMO marketing) and nothing really stood out _for him_ -- if you or anyone else has further reasons beyond racing that makes you buy a car then that opinion is valid too!

I don't mind new cars being middle of the road or even low in the pack for performance. I don't need every new car to be fastest in class. But why do these cars cost so much? If the performance is high I can justify a high price tag. If it's both slow and expensive, pass.

This one really put the L in DLC. The price tags for sub-mid cars makes them forgettable. Barely anyone is gonna pay that and they're gonna fall into obscurity like most of their other cars instead of being cheap and accessible. Most of the content was disappointing and they still thought this annoying drip feed was acceptable?

What pisses me off about these cars is that i wouldn't mind if the cars were basic or weren't top preformers if it wasn't for the price tags. Even these basic, low preformance cars are costing $1,000,000+, if I'm paying 1.7 mil for a car it should be at least in the top 10s of it's class. It's sad because collecting cars isn't worth it anymore, if you're gonna buy a car it's gonna be for preformance rather than customization, you can't take cars out in freemode due to griefers, unless you're in private lobby with friends.

I don't mind the weekly vehicle release, it works with the weekly event in my opinion. It looks bad because all the vehicles are added with the main update and then there in the game files for people to pull up and look at. If they weren't all seen on update day then we wouldn't know what vehicles were coming, and it would just be a new vehicle released every week with the weekly event. There's plenty other games where every week they'll release a new skin or weapon or whatever! The problem here is people are seeing say 20 vehicles in the files on update day and then complain that there's only 5 available and think their being hard done by. Yeah the games 10 years old now, it was never built for what it's become because they had no idea the monster that would intail with GTA Online, and trying to balance getting to the end of production for GTA 6 while still keeping people happy that play GTA Online is a balancing act for sure.
