30 miles of range is the battery life is what's claimed for the 648wH battery. I don't have that in my legs to test out. I did almost 14 miles and the batteries were still at 3/4 bars and I had an elevation gain of 2,370ft. So while I couldn't last 30 miles on the board, I would say it's fair that it's probably pretty accurate👍
uhhh, that's not even remotely CLOSE to the "fastest A/T skateboard." Bioboard Plutoniums do over 60 mph out-of-the-box (double the speed of this board), and they also make bespoke boards capable of 125 mph. Yes, you read that right. Still though, this board looks pretty sweet. Looks like it would carve well and provide a maneuverable & stable ride.
How fast is too fast? A lot depends on the protection gear you wear. 30 mph on very small wheels, with only a helmet? Yes probably too fast on the long run. With an armored jacket like Lazyrolling's stuff, pants with built-in protection. Sure!
@@DavidManningvlog Ooooh I didn't get to the end of the video yet. Very glad you didn't eat it then! I've learned my lessons on gear by riding electric unicycles for about a year now (first: 25 mph, 31 currently, next one: 45). Learned the hard way, but yeah there's really good gear that makes various speeds okay without getting in the way. But slower speeds are fun as well, sometimes.. what's the hurry :D
@@DavidManningvlog Top of the world? I have never heard that. We call it Double Peak. Or Muur van Dubbelberg belgianwaffleride.bike/blogs/sectors/course-communique-12-muur-van-dubbelberg
@@DavidManningvlog I’m in backcountry Alberta. They don’t clear the snow very often! The other months would be great though. It would be a cool way to get around.
Can't get a loose belt on a DD version, plus it's quiet, definitely worth a slight torque loss. Sick board though, making me want it over the Phantom a bit.
okay so top speed is 30mph. That's pretty fast, esp for the price...cheaper than an evolve but goes faster. Wonder how it will do over time...looks so much like an evolve. I think those tires are exactly the same, trucks as well....
AFAIK... Tesla has never used Samsung batteries in any of its vehicles - including the Model 3... it has only used either Panasonic NCA cell or CATL LFP cells in its China made Model 3. Was this something the board maker mentioned to you?
Hey David! I live 30 minutes from Carlsbad we should go for a ride at the Carlsbad State Beach! I have the Evolve Bamboo GTR we can compare the boards! Huge fan! :)
Now that I live in Vancouver I appreciate the Hill Climb Tests!! That being said... Can Miles make an "X Panther Mini" and have a smaller sized board with A/T tires?!?! Just a little bit more carve-ability with 20-25 miles range??! That would be *chef's kiss*
@@DavidManningvlog I just went back to your Sneak Peek video on the Phantom 🤣 Could you do a comparison between the X Panther (Direct Drive) and the Phantom when you get the time?! I'm glad I have a RadRunner, but it takes up so much space in the apartment so a board may be the next move🤔
I was so sad when the wheels broke... not for the skateboard but because that awesome song stopped! 🤭😂 If anyone else enjoyed that song I found it. It’s called “All for Me” by Swif7
5 miles and you broke it looks like a shipboard to me My meepo awd does 30 miles an hour 29.2 With the wind at your back With a 220 pound rider and it goes off road Granted they all break in the end that's pretty disappointing
Superb content as always David! I don't even ride a skate board but watching you talk about these makes me want to get one lol your presentation always inspires me to be hopefully as good as you some day. Keep up the good work.
Hello David, congratulations on your second born. A great Video again; just wanted to know the location of the trail, as i live in san diego too, and i do not recognize it.
Really strong! The takeoff with the street wheels obviously pulls a bit harder than with the all terrains on, but both get you up to speed really quick
hard copy of the GTR, gooot iiiit. also, can we address that nothing was mentioned about the belt slip on your first ride? also, also, you're in San Diego and at Top of the World at the same time? isn't Top like 70mi north of San Diego? ...not hating, honestly, it's a good vid...just throwin' it out there
