@@GreenMask-XRGM-27 The main vocal theme. Ever since KOF 14 they've been doing more and more anime-esque opening and ending themes that are absolute bangers.
@@GreenMask-XRGM-27 like Vulcan said. You can go to any of the character trailers and check out the most replayed part of the video (though YT is not showing that for me lately), it's always the ending with the song. The people have silently spoken.
It teases at the beginning and right at the 50 second mark as noted...I'm still crossing fingers that this is a tease for a "secret" inclusion somewhere later in the game. Like maybe a remix of Spread The Wings hits if you choose Rock and make it to the final boss or whatever... ...I mean, I wouldn't reuse it for his main theme either and would do something different too. However, they know everybody wants THAT song and there is no way to make a sequel game without having it somewhere...hidden track, end credits song, whatever...just keep your fingers crossed, as I wouldn't make it so obviously there right out the gate either if in charge. I'd save it and let people find it on their own and react to it out of surprise. Just saying...that would be the way to use it and really give people a huge jolt.
Remember that Terry started with Kurikinton before getting his Big Shot in FF3/Real Bout. Now his story is over, with a Sunrise on the Train. Rock has already Spread the Wings. That was his Kurikinton, and we'll never forget it. But now, 26 years later, Rock finally gets his Big Shot. Mark of the Wolves was the setup. City of the Wolves is the payoff.
@@dodykusumanto8377 "Children" by Robert Miles. One of the best techno songs ever made, practically one of THE songs that defined the 90s. Tekken 5's Poolside is also heavily influenced by it, but Spread the Wings is notable because it references it wholesale. Only half of the song is original. It also thematically made sense for Rock at the time, considering he is Geese's child.
Man i wanted Rock's og theme to return (is just to iconic). But this one has grown on me. Edit: assuming they didn't went with Spread the Wings due to it being identical to Children by Robert Miles, thus avoiding copyright issues 😢
SNK would have to negotiate with the owners of the rights to Robert Miles' Children theme song, since Rock's Spread the Wings theme in Garou was heavily inspired by it.
@@Ninja07Keaton It doesnt. That is internet bs, yes the song has parts that are a rip off from Children, but never existed a lawsuit and you cand find the song on streaming services.
I adore his new theme, you guys knock it out of the park every time, makes me emotional as well, Garou is one of my favorite games ever, and finally having a sequel is a dream come true :,)
Snk is still putting out good OSTs in fighting games 🥰. (Like Dynasty Warrior vibe 🤔) I hope Capcom doesn't disappoint Terry and Mai fans in Street Fighter 6.
I only know the bare minimum about Garou's story but with this theme alone I can feel all of the passion and emotion it invokes for both the story and Rock himself. ❤❤
Uh oh... They're releasing tracks now? I remember how much I enjoyed them releasing Samsho7 themes when the game was still on the way. This is a good theme for Rock.
Instantly fell in love with this theme the moment I heard it Sounds very evocative of Rock's prior themes, namely the iconic Spread The Wings, yet also sounds fresh and new. No better way to represent the next step in our hero's journey to define himself. Keep spreading those wings, Rock Howard. Go get em, kiddo
@@ApolloJustice-rs5ry Indeed it does, hence why I mentioned the fact this theme sounds evocative of Spread The Wings SNK really nailed the balance between maintaining the spirit of Garou while delivering something new that stands in it's own right
Hey in the map are locations Delta park-jin brothers South Station-yamasaki West subway-duck king Pao pao cafe-richard myer or bob wilson Howard arena-tung fu rue or andy bogard Maybe they will be in the game
This is easily on par with SNK Classic bangers like Seoul Road or Big Shot!. In few years, I bet this will be the music the people think about when thinking in this game, for sure.
I love how much the OST in this game is influenced by Real Bout. All the old characters get updated versions of their original themes with modern instruments, while all the new characters from MOTW get new themes that are effectively sequels of their old ones. Really sets the tone of established legends along with the next generation trying to carve their own legacy within South Town. Samurai Shodown 2019 followed the same principle, where the OST was based on SamSho 3 along with 64-2.
This is the way to do fighting game themes. A simple and memorable melody with good use of repetition. It's one I can hum to myself. A lot of recent KOF themes haven't had that for me. They've been jam sessions without memorable melodies. This is what we need more of!
It's a good song, I especially like the beginning with the guitar which helps to give a really cool vibe, honestly I miss Spread the Wings and if they couldn't use it again then they could have created a remix or new version with same vibe that the song had, I liked Rock's new song but personally I wanted a lot of the cool vibe from the beginning to be maintained throughout the rest of the song to give the impression of "this is a cool theme song for the protagonist that gets you excited to play with him"
Hiroshi Yamazoe aka ZOE, the same guy who made the old K' themes (specifically 99 and 2000, and then XIV and XV's, also made some other great tracks like Control Crisis)
Play this song at 1.25x speed. I dunno, it just sounds more appropriate to me that way. Emergence is still my favorite Rock theme, but you know what? This one's still solid. I can jam to this.
@@ApolloJustice-rs5ry if you listen to the 0:06 to 0:18 mark in the original spread the wings (arranged) , you'll be able to tell it was also sort of used here.
It’s very nice. But nothing will ever top Spread the Wings. SNK might just be avoiding to use that theme again, because it samples “Children” by Robert Miles. But all recent Rock themes since XIV have been good. Just not “heavenly” like Spread the wings.
