Honestly this was a smart idea to record this podcast like this.

This is my new favorite podcast. It’s so raw and wonderful it feels like I’m hanging out with some old friends talking about dad stuff. And it is just that in a way. I’m just a little bit younger than these guys and I’ve been a fan since I was a teenager. It was fun to grow up watching them in films and listening to their podcasts, seeing them mature and still hold on their childlike sense of humor and hope. I’m also a comic book kid who grew up and had a kid, but I don’t have many friends with kids who are the same age. They all had kids older. So, they’re still babies. Now my son is 19. He just moved out of the house to make a name for himself and I’m especially in my feelings about it. Like, he JUST moved out two days ago. We didn’t have a fight or anything. He’s a great kid and I support him endlessly. He just wants to do his own thing. Anyway, what I’m trying to say is this podcast came out at just the right time. Thank you Jay & Silent Bob for getting old and having kids. I can’t wait for the next episode.

With my daughter due Dec. 30th, I've spent the last 7-8 months preparing myself to be the best dad I can. I started listening to the "Jay and Silent Bob get old" podcast somewhat near the beginning. From the start, I was hooked.. Though not just because it was entertaining, but to prepare myself for the men in this world that will want to one day date my daughter 🤣🤣. Now that she's close to being here, I'm so happy that there is now a Kev Smith podcast to listen about being a dad. Now I know how Kevin feels when he has to wonder if the MCU makes things just for him, since they make everything he wants and needs in life lol

Loving the podcast! Mine little one is 36 already so it's interesting hearing about someone trying to parent a child in today's world. Can't wait to hear about Jason's new little one when he gets here. In our family (siblings), the first born was a boy who very much took after my father and my maternal grandfather. My sister had my father's features, but my mother's personality (very social). I looked more like my mother, got her musical traits (not her social ones), but had a different father. When my generation had kids, all the first born turned out looking like their mother. My brother and I only had sons. His son was very, very smart like my brother, but also pulled down some of his mother's family's traits. He passed away a few years ago of a drug overdoes. My son looks a LOT like me, but is smart as a whip (STEM kid). My sister's first born physically took after her and was very smart. Her second child, a son, looked more like his father and was more athletic minded. He wound up in the Air Force, like my brother, doing physically active things that he enjoyed. It will be interesting to see whether Jason's little boy takes after his mother. I think that's the fun part of watching kids grow up; seeing which physical and social traits they get from which part of the family. Congratulations Jason! You get to go through the baby part of raising a child again, except this time it will be a lot more easy because you've done it before. May your family be well blessed and well loved always.❤

Kev, Why the hell are you driving under the influence, whether or not the state allows it? It affects your reactions, even more than alcohol does. STOP IT. Jordan is perfectly correct, you're not just putting your own safety at risk, but anyone else in the car as well as other road users. If you really want to be confident that it's not an issue, go speak with road safety folk who will show you an experiment demonstrating exactly how much it affects your driving.
