I did all the above. I can dial OK with the other side answering, begin the fax but I always get an error message similar to Error 346

@@davidcampbell215 You have to have a regular phone line. And if it has DSL also. You have to have it connected to the phone side of the DSL Adapter.

+gracie9501 From the Home screen on the printer control panel, swipe the tab at the top of the screen downward to open the Dashboard, and then touch the Setup icon . Scroll to and touch Fax Setup, and then touch Preferences. Scroll to Auto Answer, and then touch the toggle to disable the setting.
