Depends. Do you really expect a failing organization to support what's not working and not try to do something to turn things around? Maybe they handled it poorly - people deserve to be treated respectfully, but no one is entitled to have or keep a job anywhere.
Oh yeah “chills out” *20k rage comps on youtube* lol nah but yeah jev and a couple others kept their og personality which is why alot of people followed faze back then. We were all kids though. I dont know if that kind of content works. For you guys anymore. But It really seemed like the rest of them took the faze logo and did coke off of it then trashed the entire brand. Like these past years faze fans have been watching drug addicts.
@@thefalconmctalon6011 He is just so genuine it feels like. I don’t even watch his videos much anymore, but when I do I swear he hasn’t changed much and it works!
She wasn't being harassed, people were complaining about her being signed over other people who had been trying for years just because she was already famous
@Stvy14 if you believe the internet hasn't harassed her based on the backlash you need a wake up check, gamers are toxic af if one person is saying "oh I wish they singed some one else" there's atleast 10 people letting her to die 😂
but what the fuck did she expect? like she literally got offered to join an org simply because she was a gamer girl that was an actor, and her whole point was to make the scene less sexist when her gender was the entire reason she was part of the scene in the first place...
I always viewed FaZe as more of a cultural staple on gaming but in my opinion their time as an org has long since passed. Even back in the day I cared more about individual members than the clan as a whole.
When prime COD started dying and Fortnite went more downhill Faze should’ve sold. I always find it funny seeing faze things because I totally forgot they existed
Ah a tale as old as time: founders sell to corporate investors for decisive control and then the corporate investors kill it cause they are creatively incompetent.
@@peaceweapon1933 Yeah I understand that, I'm just saying he claims they didn't sell any of their shares. He never explains how it happened though which seems like BS.
@@ToddDobbins I wouldn't trust a FaZe member as far as I could throw them. They might be technically telling the truth that they didn't sell any of their shares. But there are other ways to get compensation. Maybe the traded them, maybe they gambled them away...the only people who knows are the ones who signed the contract. All we know is that they don't have control of their company/brand anymore.
@@DirtyRobohobo Because human greed isn't a conspiracy. When the original owners give up control to people who want money, they will only want money. It's really simple, their goals don't align. Same thing happened to even Star Wars. Hollywood hated Star Wars it's entire existence, saw it made a fuck-ton of money, offered Lucas a fuck-ton of money, and tried to make a fuck-ton of money off of it. Lucas, for all his faults, genuinely wanted to make movies because he liked to, Hollywood makes them for money. Then you wonder why the world's most successful indie space film series fails in the hands of suits. Then take all your favorite gaming companies. Almost every single "classic" company was made by passionate people who genuinely loved what they did, then people who made money for a living started to take over, then money became the passion. Go back in history to government changes, people who passionately want to lead the country into prosperity start making too many deal with the ones with money... happened to literally every single culture ever. Every single religion has experienced this at some point. Human greed destroys human passion. No conspiracy needed.
@@DirtyRobohobo short hedgies get bad board members on board and they drive the company into the ground meanwhile shorting the living crap out of it. Once the stock gets delisted the shorts pay 0 taxes and then it’s on to the next. No tinfoil needed it’s the truth!
Maybe he will stand for what he says next... He's effing deleting comments calling him out for the Idubbz video. I can't even mention d4ng3l0 Wall4c3 without my comment being deleted.
i love hearing charlie describe this stuff happening, especially when he starts a video with "you've probably seen the drama" and i have no idea what he's talking about
Even if the original members decided things, I think this was bound to happen. The shtick ran out of gas, it is what it is. Either reinvent or you're doomed to get forgotten.
I don’t. They clearly don’t give a fuck about there fans they just want money and to show it off there pathetic ppl once u actually grow up and can see em for what they are. Expect for that short mf wit the beard he was always coo
Watching FaZe become a money hungry corporation and destroy everything they stood for is honestly heartbreaking. At the end of the day, FaZe would not be where it is today without the OG’s. Leaving them in the dark (Rain, Teeqo, Blaze etc.) while they openly ridicule their every move is like watching a rebellious teen argue with their parents.
Of course there gonna be money hungry, they always have been, that's how u keep a company afloat, money. I think what u mean is they've become OVERLY money hungry
I'd be interested to see how similar the accounting of the some of the top gaming companies are to the movie industry. Wild how Hollywood can report losses on some of their top grossing films. (There's a Today I Found Out or Brain Blaze video breaking some of it down, can't remember which)
It's not about her ruining everything. Faze management is definitely to blame but as a content creator, she should've done her due diligence about the company and all the issues it had before joining it. It wasn't hard to tell that something like this would happen.
@@sharansukesh6542 Her due diligence in regards to what? She should have predicted that she would be the target of a misogynistic hate campaign bc the company is bad with money?
@@botanicalitus4194 Nothing of this has to do with misogyny. What are you even saying? The reason people are mad is because they didn't hire other female gamers who've been grinding and are amazing at the game. People were excited to see which female in the space they would hire and were disappointed that it was someone who only just got into the gaming scene but was famous. Also, yes, it wasn't hard to predict that something like this could happen when the founders and management of a company are constantly and publicly going back and forth. All the faze clan OGs called out faze giving people like snoop dog a large amount of shares in Faze when he was never even a contributing member or in the gaming space.
I was going to say something very similar. Jev and I'm guessing less than a handful of other FaZe members that I don't keep up with are probably the only ones really keeping it alive to some degree. Just give Jev ownership or something lol /s
Grace really can't catch a break. Escaping from a predatory behind-the-scenes boss during her acting and then getting harassed for streaming and joining FaZe must really be draining her right now.
@@DirtyRobohobo you know some people actually don’t put money above everything, like there are other things that are important to them? Complex concept I know
O my god I remember those days all my friends wanted to be in faze and i just never understood why lol I was always that guy who would kill people boosting or trying to set up 360
really, i feel like most gamers or atleast people who were around the age of the OG faze memebrs thought they were the cringiest.... like id expect them to be popular(w/ children) but i also expected them to sell out like they did AND let us not act like we are suprised by bad business decisions(like i said, sellouts).... you must of been young if you thought faze was cool then.
For me personally, it's hard to take any of the Faze OG's seriously as they willingly handed over the company they built to out of touch executives who have no idea how the gaming space operates and are now complaining about those executives. Not to mention all of the scams that members such as Banks have committed that makes me pretty confident that the company wouldn't be any better in their hands.
You clearly haven't heard about the history of FaZe clan, or the fact that these were teenagers who basically built a business and were used by execs when they didn't know how to run a business
After the Save the Kids scandal, it’s hard for me to take any of the members seriously. Even watching Rain’s exposure video here, there’s a *big* part of me wondering if it’s all fake just like with Save the Kids.
To be fair, it sounds like they didn't know any better and got taken advantage of by a person that sweet-talked all of them into trusting him, much like the early days of what I heard happened to a lot of youtubers that got signed into contracts they couldn't leave without tremendous effort that stole enormous amounts of money from you. If you're going to blame them, might as well blame every poor soul on RU-vid that got sweet-talked by a company ever. Everyone has to get burned once, especially if it's about money, it's a matter if you can recover from it.
she shouldnt be in FaZe, thats not her type...you can clearly see that, she should be with her friends in 100t if anything. faze just throwing numbers at people for the extra views from their CCs
@@shortallen3218 realistically who would actually care if you're getting a fat bag for nothing. Seriously for the majority of people they would sign because they pay you a lot of money for doing essentially nothing.
From the original faze members to the ones today, one thing has never changed. They are all massive tools. Seeing faze sink into the abyss makes me happier than anyone knows.
okay but that's any corporation the OG's really had nothing to do with the corruption they just built a multi million dollar corporation and now they're being used only ones who are actually bad are corporate, Rug(scammer), and banks(scammer) the rest are innocent granted probably not completely but still
i feel like people around her should have let her know to stay farrrr away from faze if she joined otv or even got signed by ludwig or toast it would have been much more positive faze is a huge gamble considering all past owners love drama and scams and drugs
I started watching rain back when he was in his mom’s basement hitting 720 instaswaps. I was 13 back then and I recently turned 23. I can now say I have legitimately been watching Rain for over a decade, and I love how you always keep it real. Nobody else would expose their own company so hard purely out of love for doing what’s right. Massive respect to you man!
I feel bad for Grace. She quit acting to forget about the BS that happened to her and is doing something she likes just to get harrassed by people for something out of her control. People acting like if it were them they wouldn't join FaZe and get the free money they'd receive for just joining. At least she's putting in work.
She's not though compared to likely hundreds of other candidates Charlie lied, she has streamed 90 hours in 3 months, not even a part time job. Her viewership isn't insane either, about 1.3k
@@metalmythology6282 That doesnt justify blaming her or criticizing her when she did nothing wrong. If she wasnt a pretty woman no one would be harassing her and instead all the hate would be directed as Faze. But too many lnceIs are creating this fake drama

I honestly haven't seen Faze anything since OG MW2. I'm interested to see though if the suits end up bowing out and the founders get the power back, or if the founders end up getting cut and the suits just keep going in the wrong direction
Faze never really came off as a company that could stay afloat forever. The brand is just not woven tightly enough. All the BS and drama outweighs the positive components Lol.
That’s usually how every company goes when they go public. Suits with degrees come in with no concept of the brand and how they got there start making executive decisions…never ends well.
Back in the day, you had to be elite to be invited into a clan. Now its meaningless and lost all prestige when they just hand out invitations to anyone they feel they can invest in as "infuencers" and "streamers". You should be top 1% at your game to even be considered.
@@2ez369 Bro she’s not gonna drown, the company is going under not their careers. Unless you mean the hate she’s getting. Which makes even less sense because why does someone deserve hate for joining a company, if the company was already shit? That has nothing to do with her. She literally just got there.
@@TonyMezaXD You must have some sort of emotional connection towards her. The hate she’s receiving is expected, she joined something just for the money and the people are aware of it. She can’t benefit the organization in any way shape or form, and it’s natural backlash. It’s like Connor McGregor joining the LA lakers; what sense does that make?
@@2ez369 Emotional connection? Not even close. What the hell are you talking about? You must have some sort of emotional connection to Faze, because to idolize them as some sort of brand that is beyond reproach is just delusional. She isn’t a good fit? Why? The space has evolved past Faze. It’s no longer just esport pro gamers joining orgs now, it’s influencers and streamers. To think that Faze scamming kids with crypto currency isn’t going too far but hiring grace is? That’s insane and the motives are clear.
I actually never heard of FaZe until recently as people started talking about how Grace is unfairly being harassed in all this. Then again, I've never been big on watching multiplayer FPS games, so they just wouldn't be on my radar.
The only time I ever hear about them is when one of them does something incredibly stupid like that guy who made a video crying about getting banned for hacking in Fortnite on stream. To someone who doesn't follow that particular type of gaming they come across as a group who just make an ass of themselves every few months.
They engaged in predatory business tactics for years, fell off because of it, sold their business to suits, and now they are crying about how they sold their business to suits 😂😂 ya did it to yourself
They didn't out right sell the company, they were teenagers that made bad deals that eventually lead to the company becoming public and their main duties being replaced by some CEO

you'd think pc companies and the tech world in general would be clambering over themselves to sponsor e-sports scenes. the problem now is the time for the tech companies to do that has passed, really. i also couldn't think of a better way to launch a game than host a tournament and invite big orgs. its way better promo than billboards, magazine ads, static/2d media in general.
FaZe should've never went into stocks and bs, it's not a coincidence that when FaZe was mainly a content team it was making profits and wasn't paying millions on warehouses and people that don't even really represent the team. The fact that this much $ is going towards members that haven't been around when Faze began is crazy. Hope this all gets fixed man.
this is why you never go public unless you're going to leave the org. once that happens it's the shareholders who control the company. the only way faze will have a chance of getting back up is to go private so they can btfo the stock holders, potentially with suing them for corporate sabotage/negligence/whatever if proof can be found. the saving grace of their stock being so low right now is that it wouldn't cost as much as it would have last year
