I am a forever Chaka fan. I can listen to her music all day every day on replay all the way and it will never get old. Her music is as relevant today as it was back in the day. Period.
Thank you for 50 years of awesome music. Of all the hit singles this was my favorite. 1974 was not particularly my favorite year in life but the music uplifted it big time.
My Queen, my Sistah. High school graduation party with my Chaka Khan feathers and pewter wrapped arms on stage belting out this song while my classmates partied on the dance floor. Thank you for your years of servitude and keeping me alive to this very day!! You've Got All The Love, All My Lifetime!!💖
My Brother's, the 2 oldest, oh boy... Chaka was their fantastic fantasy They had posters of Her all over their rooms It was how me and my Sister started decorating our room. Good times growing up in the 70's
🎵Prince💜 alwayz wanted a band like Rufus he grew up listening 2 win he finally got hiz break chance in "78" he hita Home⚾️Run hiz club in Minneapolis,MN waz called Grand⚾️Slam
If memory serves Me correctly I recall that Rufus was an off shoot of the American Breed based out of Chicago. Their tune "Tell Me Something Good" alerted me to this Band.
As Soul Train was definitely a Saturday morning ritual for me, I can't believe I missed you and Rufus on this episode, as well the one before. This is the song that attached me to your voice, and that you co-wrote it with Ray Parker Jr. is everything ❤!
Was blessed to see her do this, I rem Mike went out and xhakasamazimg vocal could stillbe heard, powerhouse, 2nd to none..I went with 2 very pretty girl, one was a ct, she dressed to the hilt thinking she'd out do chaka, never , in every dept chaka rule that night and 4 the rest of my life, going back to gigs and revisiting tunes, is crucial 4 us sr citizens, who can look back at this and say thank you god!!! No auto tuning drones, just the perfect instrument god gave to lady chjaka
LOL! Everyone used to tell my cousin Lucy that she looked like a white version of U, Chaka. She did! With blonde hair. Two incredibly beautiful women. RIP my Little Lulu! Love U!
What a gift to see this video! This song thrills me all the way from the top of my head to the ends of my fingers and toes! Pure deliciousness. Thank you! 🔥❤️
This was the first time I experenced Miss Khan the Empress of FUNK while blasting Soul Train on the TV Saturday afternoons, I was 10 years old. I finally had the privilage to experince this talented essence front row, live 40 years later. It blew my mind. Thank you Miss Khan Peace ✌⚓
One of my favorite Rufus songs, all-time! This takes me virtually back to my first time seeing Rufus, Chaka Khan at the Fabulous Forum while I was attending UCLA in the early, mid 1970s.
Such amazing vocals. Check out her and Rufus covering Crosby, Stills and Nash's "Love The One Your With". She blows the roof off the joint with her range. Damn fine looking then and still is 50 some years later, like fine wine!
This woman is amazing, I watched a interview where they asked her how it feels to be called a legend and she is so humble she said she doesnt think of it like that. Chaka is timeless 100 years from now when we all gone Chaka is gonna still look 39 years old and entertaining people in 2122 .she just doesnt age . Btw Chaka If you want a husband I'm available in 2022 😜 You're awesome Queen 🥰🤗
