Yep, I mentioned that in another comment. The amount of destruction done to this house looks like it was for punishment and/or retaliation and not necessary to conduct the search warrant. I imagine the front door could have been unlocked and they still would have ripped the whole frame out. Look at the window. The whole frame is gone. That’s beyond necessary to enter a house. Absolutely ridiculous.

We always let the person know why we’re there what we’re looking for and they didn’t even do that. For one thing "Memphis" and for another the document is sealed currently that describes WHY this took place, and does she have a son (or whoever) living with her that was not mentioned that attracted a justifiable warrant? The gov't absolutely has to sufficiently and justly care about all of its people. Even if the authorities had a justifiable reason to execute the search warrant, there wasn't any need to destroy a person's home. If the woman's son is guilty of something, it doesn't mean that she should be punished in the process. I don't approve of BLM, nor am I an anarchist in some other way, but this raid is one of many situations where the authorities think that their lives are way too important, to the extent that they think they can afford to ruin someone's life.

I think that when a machine is designed...if a part will eventually be consumed or worn out or made less useful during normal use of said machine...it makes sense that such a part be easily accessible, user replaceable, plentiful and cheap...It's better to have a record player with a cheap needle that wears out from time to time instead of having a needle that lasts forever and destroys the last surviving copy of a song in existence. Force should only be dished out by the oppressor AFTER the oppressor has received an equal or lesser force from the oppressed.
