What's up RU-vid, I hope everybody has thawed out from that crazy winter storm. While getting over this head cold, I was able to record the installation of my new Competition Engineering 3 way adjustable drag shocks on the 2000 Camaro SS.
Still awaiting the Strange single adjustable coilovers for the front, but they should be in soon! Can't wait to get the Camaro back on the road and provide more content for you guys. Thanks for watching and hope to enjoy this clip. Please ask any questions below and checkout the other vids in the links below. See you in the next video!

Good work and good advice on keeping the old parts and using proper PPE. That cold start sounds awesome too. Looking forward to seeing your front suspension upgrade and of coarse the next test & tune event.

Thanks Dad for checking out the vid. Yeah some of these parts could be a challenge to find in the future so I figured to throw that advice out there.

Mine is lowered in the rear. But makes a noise like if I had bad shocks. But when I take them apart they're in good condition. I was thinking since they're stock and are Soo compressed that maybe they don't get to do their job? And should get a shorter one?

No complaints, actually daily driving the car this week lol. I do plan to upgrade to double adjustable coil overs on all 4 corners in the future though.

Good video, but I don't think you'll like those shocks on the street. Had them on my car and swapped for viking non coilovers in the rear. The comps felt terrible in comparison.
@smokingasphalt8050
@smokingasphalt8050 3 года назад
Thanks man, how were the Comp Engineering shocks on the street? These are definitely made for the drag strip.
@mscheets1
@mscheets1 3 года назад
@@smokingasphalt8050 they didn't seem to have any decent ride in my opinion. Everything seemed too loose which is a characteristic of a drag shock, but only having the 3 settings kind of made it too annoying for me. Obviously with the vikings being a 19 way adjustable, Im able to have a good balance of a better ride and set them to be more aggressive with the turn of a knob. I also wasn't a fan of the way the comps are adjusted either when now I can adjust both rear shocks in less than a minute if a want. If you're racing more than cruising then maybe you'll like the comps more than I did
@smokingasphalt8050
@smokingasphalt8050 3 года назад
@@mscheets1 I gotcha, thanks for the input! I had Koni Yellows for the street for years. I’m hoping these perform well on the track. I’ve heard a lot of good things about them. Will definitely give a review whenever I test them out.
