The fact that Rin was deliberately trying to kill Ryosuke just shows how much of a phenomenal driver Ryosuke is regaining control while being knocked by his R32.
When I was younger, all I saw was a evil/bad man like Shingo just trying to take Ryosuke out. As mature adult, I saw a broken man that needed help and love. The near death experience brought enlightenment that awoken and saved Shinigami. He was finally able to wash away the hate and grudge and move on. This is one of the hardest, but best thing a human can do; forgive.
The lack of dialogue and music really tenses up the mood, it really feels like he’s pushing his fc to the limit to stay alive during the battle. Man early initial d without music would hit different. Imagine shingo’s death match with just a bit of internal monologue from him. Would be genuinely tense.
It would But the music just can't be thrown out like that, way too many scenes with music wouldn't hit as hard without music Tho, some parts without music would have extreme intensity, as you said.
Initial D and Eurobeat were fated to mix. Taking them out, even just for certain races, would screw up the pacing of the show and just feel off compared to the rest of it. No way man. It’s fine if it’s a fan edit. But you can’t do that to the whole thing. No freaking way man
I'm glad you included the scene where the GT-R refuses to use the emergency road on the left side. I've seen so many edits where it's not included and they just cut straight to the RX7 hitting the brakes.
'CAUSE YOU'RE KILLING MY LOVE, MY HEART'S DISAPPOINTED, A DREAM LAST FOREVER IF WE DREAM TOGETHER, I DON'T WANT TO BELIEVE IN LOVE ANYMORE! Another great work, as always.
If you play this video and start playing Killing My Love by Leslie Parrish, at exactly 1:26 the song, race, and ending are perfectly timed for dramatic effect. Give it a try.
when the sun goes down by ken blast also fits very well in the last part where shinigami doesn't take the emergency road, if it is played at 1:26 as well
The GT-R used by Nakazato was a later model called V Spec II, but the GT-R used by Hojo is probably a base model from when it first came out. There are many differences between the two, but the most obvious is that V-Spec II has a larger brake capacity If Hojo's GT-R had been a V-spec II, and if he had not taken extra care to strengthen the brakes, Ryosuke might have been in danger. ... And the name of this course that Ryosuke and his friends are running is called the Hakone Turnpike. The speed range is quite high among the various Japanese mountain passes, and the brakes are very hard to control, so a half-heartedly modified car will end up at the bottom of the valley. Not a modified vehicle, but some years ago a large truck loaded with chemicals went through a guardrail with flames spewing out of the brakes and into the bottom of a ravine.
Best races per stage: 1st Stage: ALL OF IT. 2nd Stage: ALSO ALL OF IT. 3rd Stage: ALL EXCEPT MOGIS STALKER 4th Stage: Bunta, EK9 RACER, GOD HAND and FOOT 5th Stage: Ryosuke VS Rin THATS IT, all races are boring including Shinji Verstappen.
Say if the one that help ryosuke is a driver with mid engine car, do you guys think shinigami's suicide will stop easier and faster? Its been a long time i think about it
Yeah, they do it only when necessary. For Rin, it's pretty understandable, it's near impossible to drift an AWD car on fast corners. Most cases I've seen where AWD drift in some way is in rally, on either very tight corner where they turn the rear around with the handbrake or go full speed on fast dirt turns, finland style.
Mad respect for Rin tho controlling a car with 650b/whp with no brakes and grip unlike akio,a highschool dropout whos probably the definition of "I woke up in a new bugat-i mean new 240z"
I low-key wish that shinigamis r32 and Nakazatos R32 swapped engine sounds? Made sense since Nakazatos was only lightly tuned and had a sneezing Blow off valve
Hello 2cheyy may i use this video and the ae86 vs ae86 turbo video as to put eurobeat over them and if your also ok with this i also posted ae86 vs s2000 caused you said you allowed it to someone else.
Shinigami: Im gonna kill you ryosuke *proceeds to bump him slightly and push him slowly* And this is why i consider this race as one of the most stupidest and unnecessary races of the entire anime, but to be frank whole stage 5 and final stage was stupid and went to shit.
Don't forget they're going at high speed, if he's too brutal, he might crashes while trying to get Ryosuke off the track. Take a look at real police chase as an example, police cars may look to hit slowly, but the impact is actually strong enough to make a car loose control, plus they know where to hit to make it loose control, if they're too brutal, they might loose control themselves and give severe damage to their car.
@@tobiasrenner3498 What was it ? Didn't watch the show, not this far at least. As I far as I remember, I watched the 5-6 first episodes of the 1st stage as a kid.
@@Behemoth_00 i dont remeber it well because i really hated this stage of initial d and completely forgot about it, but i think Rin was in love with a girl called kaori, and kaori i think she was in love with ryosuke and then idk what happen i think she suicide i don't remember but she died and rin since then kills drivers that go touge and thinks that kaori takes their souls or something idk is so dang weird and stupid
For someone who hasn’t been able to watch 5th stage and beyond, what is the reasoning for Ryosuke intentionally going up the embankment(if that is the right word).
This is one of the best scenes in the anime. We so rarely get to see Ryosuke drive, and when we do see him drive, he's in a death race fighting for his life. 💯
