I love the zoom in at the end of the sign about being "ticketed and towed!" I had a chief tell me once, and he was serious, who cares if they are parked in your way, that's why we have the front bumpers! Push the SOB outta the way!
I give these guys a world of credit. id be on the air horns just hitting the apron!! Retired after years, miss it ever day. The fur still goes up when i hear it.
Last time I was in New York I did some station hops, they let you into the station, but patches shirts etc take pictures. I wanted to visit this one but couldn’t make it. Reason being my hometown Scranton the engine No that protected my end of the city was engine 7, the spare truck that I also parked in that station is truck 1. Some nostalgia for me. Maybe next time. Thank you for sharing.
I had Joe Castelluci in my taxi cab in Cape Canaveral - to his cruise ship Adventure of the seas. I recognized him from a documentary .. I lost a high school friend in the south tower on nine eleven. God Bless you - Never forget the 343 FDNY ..
We will never forget !!!!! TANKS !!!!!!!! Une pensée éternelle pour JOHN O'NEIL .
TheSamoloot Not really sure what you’re saying there, the “Feds” are anyone that works for the Federal Government in the US, think like the FBI, CIA, Secret Service, even National Park Rangers.
When you see the red lights coming out of the garages of the firestation, they're going to come out and start screaming their siren to get to where they need to go.
I can’t get over how people don’t give a shit about a fire truck, or any emergency vehicle with lights and sirens trying to get to an emergency. Unreal!!!
I can't believe that car was parked in front of the station! He's lucky he didn't get towed and cited. The ones who won't move out of the way of a firetruck trying to get through traffic also should be cited. I admire and respect all firefighters for doing a difficult job and have no respect for people who think their time or getting to that appointment, dinner, etc. is more important. Don't know what's worse, people like that or the looky-loos.
2:45 Sad that this sign is even necessary because you know that someone has tried to get out of a ticket for blocking the FD because they were a lawyer, cop, etc.
With there response time records and having a smaller responding area that they cover they are able to take a few extra seconds plus the traffic is blocking them
its not that hard to do in the back, im a FF, and our scba's are in the seats, we already have our pants on, and jacket, its takes 20 seconds to get the airpack on and ready for use.
