The fear of death is pointless. When you actually face and accept your own mortality. Nothing scares you anymore and you become truly free. Freedom is a state of mind, not a tangible commodity to be achieved by manly means, or forming a just government. Those who have faced death, accepted it, and walked away from it alive know what i mean.

Slightly off topic but, I used to be one of those hardcore KJV only types. Then I started learning Koine Greek. Oh dear Jesus help us now. KJV turned out to be not only a poor translation but by FAR and away the worst. ESV is, while still containing more serious mistranslations than you can shake a stick at, it seems like the best compared to the others.

This was absolutely helpful. I've let my self get so worked about this stuff that it has caused health issues. High blood pressure, anxiety, and so on. Over the years watching your podcast has kept my two feet on the ground and I really thank you for that, because at times I tend to be that one to worry about this crap why too much. A couple of years ago I had heart failure and had to have a pacemaker put in, it really got me me down and now I can't do the things I used to, but now I just go out and do what I can and move forward, plus I grew up with ADD which kept me from being more than what I am. You have really helped me more than you could know and I really thank you for what you have done for me!!! Just keep being you, because you are appreciated more than you know!! Adventure of the Day: Had my seeds & tools ready for a project's continuance, in my wheel barrow, tarp-covered. Rain water got in anyway & soaked every seed that was not in a glass jar...I have a vast collection, btw. Uggggghhh! LOL Threw them all, some sprouting already, in a container & tossed lightly...A true Garden Salad! Created a huuuuge layered, pile-up area in Emergency fashion, & wafted the container contents through-out. Let's See What Happens! :D Another plus: The oats, barley, wheats, corn, flax, & millet that I mixed & wafted along a trail last fall ...Whoa! That stuff is tall, & makes a tough little wall! Critters are lovin' the live hay! Blessings to the fruits of your orchards, Kiddo! :)

I bought a million dollar houses for $289k. It was lacking annual maintenance for 20 years , kinda 80 years actually. I am remodeling my main level kitchen. Custom cabinets. I can't reach the back wall. Lots of countertop space. Little bit of land. It's fun for sure . I have a estate and if Xenomophs I can defend it for a minute

Prepping is hilarious in the fact that, sure it takes care of you and yours when the times get tough, but that all only works so long as you don't die from an ICBM. If you think you live far enough away from a target, think again. I'm about 20 minutes from Selfridge ANGB, which is big enough to land heavy bombers. My ass is vapor... or at least really badly blown around leftovers. I choose not to worry about anything but God. Besides, my ass couldn't carry more than a few bandoliers of enblocs for my M1 anyway. Whoop-de-doo.

Asparagus is a PITA plant to grow in your home garden. It requires a heck of a lot of weeding, deer and rabbit chasing, I mean constantly. Then at harvest time you go out there with your wicker basket to pick those purple kings or whatever and after an hour of harvesting you realize the basket is still almost empty because you been eating those tasty things as fast as you been picking them. Durn it. Never had that problem with potatoes.. I see very little application for body armor, smoke grenades or 100,000 rounds of ammunition during a nuclear war. The bulk of that war will mostly be over in the first 20 minutes and if you live through them, it will probably be 20 years before you learn which side supposedly 'won' it. Don't waste you money on that. I strongly suspect the ability to filter dirty water do it becomes safe drinking water or learning how to pump it out of your well's yard hydrant without electricity and maybe becoming friends with that doctor or nurse down the street and learning CPR/Basic First Aid is a better use of your time and money. I laugh at the folks who imagine after the nuclear war they will be able to hunt for food animals without fear of game wardens. What food animals? Most of the deer will be dead in the first week and the ones that aren't are consuming radioactive, fallout covered foliage. How much radiation are you planning to intentionally consume? Forget about that pen of chickens in your back yard. Birds will be amongst the first to die off. Birds and horses die quickly when radiation rises. Wild hogs in the Chernobyl area are still dangerously radioactive animals. Bugs will increase of course without birds, but the progression of half life means it will be about a decde before you should view them as a food source. The 10 or 50 years of non-ending snow should have set in by then. Yeah a few decades worth of warm clothes and good boots is probably a more useful investment than 100,000 rounds of ammuniton.
