The Feathers Beanie is a very cozy crochet beanie pattern. I love this puffy texture of the feather stitch. The Feathers Beanie is worked from the bottom up. The brim is an easy brim that is worked using half double crochet stitches in the third loop. For the crown of the beanie, you will work feather stitch clusters which I will show you how to work in the video tutorial.
A free written copy of this pattern can be found on my ad supported blog: richtexturescr...

This is a stunning stitch, but WOW, even as an experienced crocheter, I'd really have to pay close attention to creating this lovely hat- this ain't a "sit and watch tv, while crocheting a hat", type of pattern 😉 amazing and beautiful, though 😍 👌 thank you❣

Hi there, glad I found you. Just a quick question, the yarn you used is bulky, right? If so, can I replace it with a worsted yarn#4? I just don’t have a bulky yarn on hand.

Hi and thank you for always having such nice, free tutorials. I have one question for this pattern though. I printed it out but also like to have this visual too :) On the written directions, rounds 2-5 are hdc in the third loops. Then round 5 is listed on its own and different from the round 5 that I just did. Maybe a typo? I've already done round 5 as hdc in each stitch. That's when I noticed the next round 5. I just did it anyways. I suppose if I read it wrong, I've got an extra row. It's ok though, I have a large head... lol.🙃🧶🪡

Hi Sarah, I'm a little confused on third loop. After the first round working the third loop will third loop continue to be in the back of the top two loops.
@virginiacave9888
@virginiacave9888 2 года назад
@Cherie Smith When you are looking at the V it’s the loop farthest away from you. Most crocheters call it the back loop
@cheriesmith9757
@cheriesmith9757 2 года назад
@@virginiacave9888 hi, thank you for your reply. Yes, but when you work rows and turn your work does the third loop become in the front?
@virginiacave9888
@virginiacave9888 2 года назад
@@cheriesmith9757 no it does not. When you turn your work continue to work in the loop fartherest from you as you did in the previous row
@lauragabriel5526
@lauragabriel5526 2 года назад
Yes, it's the same for rounds 2-5 . You don't turn your work until the row that starts the feather stitch. I'm working on this hat right now and about to start the feather stitch row.

I am new to crocheting using gauges. I never bothered with them before. I want to make your Easy Thermal Beanie in the thermal stitch. The gauge is 24 stitches x 22 rows of thermal stitch = 4 inches. Does this mean I should end up with a square of 4” by 4”?
@RichTexturesCrochet
@RichTexturesCrochet 2 года назад
Yes - if you work 24 stitches and then 22 rows of the thermal stitch then you should end up with a 4 inch square :)
@kookiemuncher257
@kookiemuncher257 Год назад
I dont understand why i always end up with too large hats.. i alreay reduced the foundation to 52 stitches and it still was too big. With 22 inches not including the stretch.. probably my gauge ? I only started crochet 2 months ago… 😭
