Our EAA workday turned into a play hooky day for Gayla and I as we secreted the Cub out of the Hangar and committed some serious Sport Aviation on this beautiful February Saturday.
Like I was there in the Gypsy Wind! Thanks so much, Dwain and Gayla! Texas is just so beautiful and varied! And pleasure to hear your witty, oldtimer humor :))) not that there is anything "old" or "timed" about you, rather Timelss and Forever Young, but what I mean is, it's heartwaring!! Ross
Dwain Marcus Flying has been a little fragmented due to bad weather since December - I was even obliged to do touch and goes on the circuit. Though now it’s getting better and I did a few (what they call “local”, within 50nm) flights. I plan for two longer later, one to Biarritz on the Atlantic (it will take me only 1h30 one way but airport is weird and demands 48h pre reservation of GA parking space...and with the weather sometimes it is hard to plan so far in advance..). The other to the Mediterranean, in which case it is something I’ve done already... thanks my friend and also expecting with excitement your next vids!
Amazing it was warm enough to fly with the doors open in February...nice flight! "That's what flying was meant to be" - couldn't agree with her more...
Dwain, that was a nice flight. I hope you will post another video soon and include more of your commentary about things going on in the ole airport hanger, ATC run-ins, and the airplanes. I enjoy your easy going attitude and glad to see you are recovered from your surgery.
@@19Cub I will leave you with this, Dwain. Now I lay me down to sleep, I pray the Lord my soul to keep. If I should fly (i.e., dream I'm flying) before I wake, I pray the Lord, my plane don't take.
Another fine video sir! Can you tell me what engine and prop you have in this bird? I have a 7AC Champ and i am in the process of converting to a C-90/C-85 stroker from a 65 HP. Thank you. Doug
