Obrigado! I had one many years back. The built-in diopter was because the average Soviet person was supposed to be very myoptic. I made wonderful pictures with it. The lens was sharp and performed well in B&W and color. The downsize: lens not really interchangeable, heavy, slow sync speed and a narrow angle for a standard lens. But definitely worth the price.

That's nice to hear!!! I have to still try the camera in studio with the flash and see what happens. It's a functional camera, capable of nice images and dirty cheap! That sounds like a good deal to me regardless of it's potential issues.

I am not a rangefinder person but I have owned several. I had a Leica M3, that had a complete CLA & a Zorki 4 in perfect shape. I don't want to cause a riot but the Zorki focused much easier & the results were very good. Don't get me wrong the Leica build & quality was amazing but as clunky as the Zorki was it was quite good.

That's is exactly what I've been telling people. The price or reviews of this or that gear doesn't mean better pictures or user experience. I'm finding the FED-4 a really nice camera.

You should check the film route. Something seems to be scratching a little.

Yes!!! I saw it. I'm not sure if it came from the camera or if it was scratched when unloading the film or when I was whipping the water off the neg for drying. But yes, I have to check that.

@@WTFphotography It seems to be very straight and long so I would suspect that it's in the camera. Could be a tiny particle that has since moved away too. If it disappears.

@@JanneRanta could be cause not every frame has it and the lines are not straight, it stays around the same level, but if you look closely, they aren't perfectly straight
