This siren is part of the Spartanburg County Outdoor Warning System, and it is tested on the first Saturday of every month weather permitting at 1:00 pm and is controlled by the Spartanburg County Emergency Management Agency
Here we are to our final recording of the day! Daniel (SouthCarolinaSirens), Luke (GSPiedmont425), and I all went down to Converse, South Carolina to record the Model 5T, considering the fact that this was the closest siren we can get to. Now as we got our cameras all setup, Luke got the opportunity to ask the fire chiefs if he could look at the siren control box inside the Fire Station when the test starts, they allowed us. The attack tone did not work in the control box, so Luke manually activated the siren for them.
