My husband starts today with FedEx and someone told him that it was too hard but looking at this video and reading the comments I'm at ease. I believe that God is gonna bless my husband on this job
I’m a 36 year old Teacher Assistant in the day hours. I tried this for a week at night from 6pm to 11pm for extra money. definitely not worth it. Extremely hard work in terrible conditions. Not to lower your faith but this is the truth. I handed my card in today.
@rachel brown.... I'm married as well and have a family of my own... That's all you can do is pray and give it to God that he will help get through this job... I start next week on Monday November 9th. At the Richfield ohio location. I'm doing full-time. I think I will be ok. Im already eating healthy and working out everyday as well.
As someone who's been at Ground for almost 5 months now, this job is not for everyone. Don't think you'll succeed by joining and be good at the job, I've seen so many new people come and go insanely fast, even the most developed minds and those with body builder like abilities don't last because the job can simply be too much for them, if not the constant influx of heavy boxes in a minute, then the way the job is being ran by the higher ups, they do not care how you do in the slighest, and will mostly just stand around when you struggle, will not coach you to succeed, if you can't click this job will never be "the job".
I just finished my first week. Orientation was only the first day. My body is sore as hell. I have aches and pain all over. I ll try and toughen it out but I don’t know how much my body can handle
My back hurts the 2nd week 3rd week I fucked my wrist up due to me picking up a box from a weird angle next day my whole left arm felt so dead it was aching so bad whenever I clench my fist that shit hurts so bad man im still working only job i got for now till i go back to school due to covid
Lmao, I had 3 days of orientation/paperwork, and then they threw me right into it. No safety training no second tour. Also I was fit going in, so I wasn't sore like alot of people. I was also really was killing it when I started but it's been a year now, I've been through some things (including a nasty leg injury involving the equipment at work) and I've slowed my roll a little bit but I'm still going strong, can't wait for my second peak season.
Same I used to work in construction. Specifically roofing and work in 100+ degree weather on a daily one day it was 116 and I almost pass out/heat stroke but good thing we were done for the day bc I couldn’t do it anymore. 10+ plus hours worked everyday that was by far the toughest job I’ve had so far. I’ve been at FedEx for about 2 months it fucking sucks and it’s physically demanding but construction was still harder
So im in my 40s and out of shape lmao I haven't worked in two yrs from being a sahm I start orientation Sunday im so scared my body won't meet the demands.
RANDOM GREATNESS apart from everything being sore, it’s still pretty good. Easy and makes the day go by fast, plus I’m making more there than at my other job
@@corym.m.3084 I work the midnight sort at the large hub and it's taking a toll on my physical and mental well being. I'm gone for 12 hours a day and work 9 of those hours for 5 days a week. I sleep through my days off and most of the time I have between going back to work. I'm honestly miserable, but the people I work with are nice.
@@knowledgealize yes. They will put you in an easy section where you will not have to do most of the hard stuff. You will probably just have to scan boxes. So they can accommodate if you are pregnant
@@riverchy744 Bullshit, I'm working at FedEx ground right now as a 3'rd shift package handler, getting paid $19 standard and $22 from Friday 22:00 - Monday 10:00. Overtime is 1.5× pay between 40-50 hours and 2× pay with 50+ hours. It's the hardest job I've ever had in my life, but we're getting another raise in a week (unknown amount). Every paycheck is approximately $900 net and I only work five days a week. FedEx is hands down one of the toughest places to work on Earth. Concrete work, welding, construction and asphalt paving, are easier jobs than FedEx. It's my 4'th month working and my body screams to rest after anything more than 10 hours -- when in my previous jobs were 12 hour days. FedEx has a huge rate of employees who quit before a week of work, which is why they're increasing pay. *FedEx Package Handler (loading position)* Physical difficulty: 9/10 full-time; 8/10 part-time Pay: ~$18- $21 Mental difficulty: 6/10 Full-time hours: 40-60 (~50) Benefits/insurances: 6/10 Leniency: Strict Overall: The greatest place to work if you don't mind enduring horrible pain.
