I do not recommend stocking this heavily and feedings this heavy without a lot of experience. I just love heavily stocked tanks! Plus side as I always say, looks more fun, AND you do not need nutrients. Fish Poop is the Sh.t! 😄

I recently got my first puffer, it's a figure 8. I have a lot of ramshorn snails but I'm not sure how often I should feed them to the puffer to trim his teeth. Do you think 1 small ramshorn snail a day is enough to keep the teeth trimmed?

Yes, for now. 🙂 But of course a shrimp and/or a canned clam as well. But after the Snail. This is an active Puffer. They love food once a day.

Maybe not when he/she is twice the size. Look at my Puffer video for better understanding about beeks. 🙂 It is a huge difference between each single one. Even though they live close to each other and/ore look similar. 😃 That is one of the many reasons I love this one. Beeks grow slow, they can be kept together. They are gentle against other fish. I can get females. I have a source. But 5 males, need like 8 females. They are pretty much rape going on when they trap the females. So no money for that now. Fry Snow white, under half an inches cost 30 dollars each.

I had a pair before, they only ate 1 dry food out of 30 different tries. Hikari Cichlid gold SINKING. :-D Cheap and hard enough to wear down the beeks.
