The day I understood that the feeling fooled me to think I was doing it correctly but I wasn’t. How different are are your feeling from your real motion?
Online lesson are now a possibility on Skillest: skillest.com/app/profile/marc...
Let me help you get an effortless golfswing with speed and accuracy. I call it the circle of speed. A good release will help you to a better impact and longer drives and irons without slice and hook. How to swing a golf club need to be adjusted to your skill level and experience.
Long and straight is the goal for everyone but it takes time. Try to focus on one thing not everything when you practise. Impact, face control and swingpath will always be the most important part to drill. We focus too much on rotation but no good golf shot will be executed just by rotating.
I’m naturally right handed but all my tips works for both left handed and right handed golfers.
We also need to understand that many myths in golf are misleading. Everything that you find on the internet isn’t true. Ben Hogan, Sam Snead are two of legends that are often misunderstood.
We shall not keep our head still, only start with the hips, look only at the ball or keep the left or right arm straight.
If you use callaway, ping, titleist or taylor made clubs doesn’t matter you can learn to hit good golf shots. Your loft or your shaft on the club will not change but you can always get better.
Find what inspires you. Golf basics are the same for everyone. The pga tour, longdrivers or other good golfers can all help you find better golf shots. Watch what they do instead of listed to what they say. Listen mostly to your body and figure out what you need to do to produce the same results as the pros on TV. Be careful when you watch a golf swing in slow motion. The result isn't always what the golfer is trying to do. Feel and real are seldom the same.
Mike Malaska, Mike Austin, Mike Dunaway, Pete Cowen and Steve Pratt are some of my favorite golf instructors online. Find the tips that make your golf better. Decide what you want to hit. I teach a draw but many like a fade and nobody likes a hook or slice.
Your hips or your lag is not the key to golf. Your hands will decide the shot and you can do like Tiger Woods and trust your hands. Teach your hands to hit different shots. Hit big hooks and slices to understand what happens. Only straight is not gonna teach you anything.
Bryson Dechambeu and Kyle Birkshire can inspire you to hit it longer. Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson can give you inspiration and motivation to test new things and new golf shots. Linn Grant, Viktor Hovland and Ludvig Aberg can show you the future of golf.
The Masters, Players Championship, The Players, The Open and US Open can make you love golf even more. See the best in the world solve all the problems we all need to master any golf course. Golf is a craft and you need fantasy, feel and skills to master it.

Update from an 68 years old golfer spending his winter in Myrtle Beach. Once again today Jan. 31st I went to a driving rane to hit a small bucket of golf balls. I very happy to report that the VERY early release work great for me. For the first time in 10 sessions at the range using my driver I hit 50 % of my shoots with a draw and the other 50% with a fade ( NO SLICE ) at all. I did hit many shoots that did carry over 210 yards in the air big improvement from my usual 170 yards plus the ball stay around 6 seconds in the air. Big bonus for me NO MORE pain in my lower back. My new Canadian Slap shot golf swing. MGGA (make golf great again) I thank you for all your videos You are the Borge Salming of the golf swing 😅
@tooleyswoodshed8476
Well you have my driver fixed and really working well, now i need alot of help with the irons.
@KYRealEstech
My 27 year old daughter, that has never golfed, just asked if I’d take her to the range. The first thing I thought was that we should hit off the mat in the garage first. Then another of your videos came to mind on exaggerating the swing by facing the target, hitting broken tees to find the bottom. I’ll add this to our first “lesson”. Perfect timing. I find your instructions and commentary fit my way of learning.

Wonderful advice and real advice. Thank you Marcus

Marcus, today I shot 73. I had nine straight pars. I ALSO had back to back birdies on #4 and. 5. I was on auto pilot. Thank you so much for the simple truth about the golf swing. Wish I'd been doing this 10 years ago. My search for the the perfect golf shot is over. i hit it over and over again today. Thank you so much..Remember my goal is to shoot my age. 70. The reason I didn't do it today was because of one three putt, and wrong club selection on two holes and one bad up and down. But 4 bogies and two birdies on a par 71 two over ....wow, I can't wait to play again Fri and Sat.....You are my guide from now on!!!
@chiefbrody3406
Tried this at the range yesterday and got instant improvement thanks so much Marcus 🙏🏻

This lesson is what I would call "practical philosophy"!
@urswymann8224
I really appreciate your videos!
@MsRocketRoy
What a fabulous video, probably your best yet. I have hit over 300 yard drives with your method. But sometimes I slip back into high spinny ones...My low point is a foot behind the ball...NOT anymore after this video. Thanks so much again!!!!

Marcus, my brain thinks I hit the ball at 150 mph ball speed. This morning on the range the trackman said I was hitting the ball at 140 miles per hour. It was 45 degrees F into a 10kts headwind and using range balls. So I drove to the course and it became 60 degrees. I used a callaway soft golf ball and I hit 3 out of 4 par 5s in two swings. So, I was producing 150 miles per hour but the cold air and low compression range balls would not let me do it. Everything you say, I do. It may not seem like much to you but I hit two drives today, one 260 and one 254. At 71 years old and 5"10 I'm playing pretty well. I started using your instructions about 2 weeks ago and so I am really just getting started,. I can't wait to see what happens from here forward. Thank you for the real vs feel video. I only want one thing, to get better at golf. Thank you Marcus for helping me get better already,,,
@pier9501
Thanks Markus 😁⛳🏌‍♂️👏
@miked1365
Good morning from Ocala fl! I have been using the driver practice swing thumping the ground 3-4 feet behind the golf ball with great success. I have been struggling with irons hitting the forward ball constantly. Using your exaggerated practice swing looks like my cure. Practice range today. Thanks for your wisdom.
@garrymajor7528
Great video this is exactly what happens to me ,am working on the the low point,arm swing down or shoulder turn 45 degrees angle down,the feel is not real but I know it works and look forward to golf every day thinking that first drive will be a draw .thanks Marcus from New Zealand love your videos.
@warthogstudios9784
This is one of the best light bulb moment videos you have put out.
@ChiTherapie
lovely as always. I am so happy that i chose one teacher. (you) Its not perfect as it will never be, but I hit it so much more simple. And its makes the fairway also wider. Just hitting the right side in my mind and trust the draw. Thanks buddy
@MsRocketRoy
Marcus, I have video'd your swing onto my phone and now replay them frame by frame to see what I'm missing. I notice in your driving you seem to hover the club head slightly above the ball before starting your back swing is that something we should be copying? Also you have a very full back swing that I will copy!! My back swing tends to get short. I love the way you seem to "rest" at the end of your backswing before starting the downswing, nice!!

Marcus, I am amazed at how quickly I improved at striking a golf ball by following your tips. I came across your channel three weeks ago and have improved my best score by 12 strokes in only six rounds of golf! In fact, I have matched the 12 stroke improvement twice in those six rounds- once on an easier course and once on a more challenging course.
