Well yeah of course but to the naked eye I was like what is that lol I don’t have that kind of tech in my GTI there’s no signs of rev lights. These new cars are different to me

Bro you need to mash the pedal in drive from like a 20-40 roll in N mode then push the red NGS button immediately after. You'll feel it then.

You can use the 2 N buttons to set N custom 1 and N custom 2. My settings for each are: N custom 1: everything sport except exhaust in sport+ and suspension in normal N custom 2: everything sport+ except suspension in normal and steering in sport Unless you live in a country with excellent roads, sport or sport+ suspension on public roads is extremely stiff

Ahhh that makes sense! The N mode was so much fun to use and extremely aggressive. If I owned the car I would do the same thing and have it in N mode all the time

@RealSpeed The red button is N Grin Shift. When u press it, it gives you 10 extra HP for 20 seconds. And then has a 30 second cool down when the 20 seconds is up before u can use it again.😂

I’ve never heard of an NGS button these cars are so advanced now I’m so behind 🤣 my 2017 GTI has absolutely nothing compared to this thing, besides the power lol

@@RealSpeed It is a over boost function and lasts for 30 Seconds and adds around 10hp. It only comes with the DCT and If you get the Manual Trans then that button is for Rev Matching.👍

You missed out on so much you could do with the car! Launch control, N mode customization, NGS overboost button, and octane learning to get even more turbo boost psi and go faster! Glad you enjoyed the car at least. :)

Ahhh damn! I’m mad now haha I want to drive it again to test out all the features I missed! Regardless though the car was a blast and has great power. Definitely a fun car to drive and more companies need to start making more track rates versions of cars because this was awesome!

Also, N comes after M. N stands for both Nurburgring and Namyang (Hyundai Motor Namyang R&D Center)

The N button gives it an extra 10 HP for 20 seconds. Its basically just a built in boost button

I do at times in track mode but not anything crazy. It’s more aggressive and jolty and a blast to drive! Enthusiast car for sure 🤙

Of course it does nothing lol that’s what I thought. So they moved it and put some circle design there that’s just odd but the car is still pretty though!

Best race car in disguise on the street! Love mine. Btw The N mode is track mode. Those wheels are ugly af! Where's the factory wheels?? Also there's N mode settings on the screen. You can adjust EVERTTHING, suspention springs, shifting, exhaust sounds, steering adjustments, plus many more..

Disagreed the EN looks sexy. The Kona N is the ugly one. Looks like an Audi with a Jeep headlight stacked on top. I thought the EN looked eh also but the looks grow on you if you own one.

Which car do you prefer yourself the Elantra N or the Sonata N-Line?

I prefer the Sonata N-Line because in my opinion it’s more powerful, and it has more bang for the buck. More space, more tech and all for the same price. The Elantra N(although so amazing) is kinda of small and has a “race only” feel to it which is not great for practical daily drivers. While the sonata n-line still gives you that powerful daily car, you have more calm practicality to it that everyone would enjoy.

Was the EN here “octane learned” ? Lol The N should be faster than the sonata n line. I think the sonata is tuned to make its power figures on regular fuel but the EN makes more on premium only.

The vehicle has a break in period of around 1,000 km. I wouldn't use the NGS, launch control or do very hard pulls for the first 1k kms

Ah I gotcha. I was kind of afraid to use it on the roads I was on lol next thing you know the car shoots me and I’m going 30 over the speed limit 🤣🤣 seems like a cool boost feature though

their cool sounding but I don't care for the looks. the sounds are decent but I know those motors aren't built like our Gen3 EA888's are. coming from a mk6Gli >To A Veloster N Hyundai > to a Gti mk 7.5 Dsg rabbit. Golf Gti's are classless cars, you see doctors, to school teachers and tradesmen like myself drive one. plus im 30 now and moving out of the pops in bangs, rev limiter, vtec days. A Gti is more that flavor in it's more of a "grown up" car . plus the Gti heritage.

@@RealSpeed - I just got mine 5 days ago (5/20/23), for $2K cheaper. It only has 438 miles on it and 330 of those were driving back from CA where I had to go buy it since they're completely unavailable here in AZ. But I absolutely love it and the trip was totally worth it.

I test drove a new one a month ago. I wasn't crazy about the interior. Felt cheap to me. The farts and pops get old after a while. Seems like a car more for younger people. Definitely not nearly as fast as my K04 mk6 gti. I ended up ordering a mk8 GTI. Less power, but it still makes it's rated crank hp at the wheels and on 87 octane and gets around 40mpg.

Guy thinks it doesn’t have Sport+ when there’s an “N” button right there then proceeds to press NGS thinking it’s a Sport mode 😐…yikes. How you been waiting for this for months and then have no clue about the MAIN feature of N cars….

Lol I’m not an N car guy I’m a German car guy so I had no idea what that button was. I do reviews based on how I feel about the car mainly I don’t focus on features as much as others do. I would use sport and paddles in any car compared to all these features that car manufacturers create now a days

@@RealSpeed It doesn’t matter. If you wait for something for months, as you claim, and then not know the main feature of such a thing, then that’s a problem. Also, ironically enough, the N cars are designed directly by a former BMW M executive so…it really should be familiar. Crazy scenes.
