Ive been depressed for about four years now, i never sleep and i keep ALLof my emotions inside so when pepole seeme i just have a blank look upon my face as if i was dead. i goof around with my friends but the true me is crying

I feel exactly the same sometimes with the sinking feeling and all except I don't have suicidal thoughts. Instead it is about me being all alone or thinking about the thought of one of my friends or family dying. I don't know why.

Telling someone that you or another young person has been hurt is a really brave step and sometimes it takes time to be ready for this. You can get support and talk about what’s happening with a Childline counsellor by calling 0800 1111 or online at childline.org.uk/get-support/ . However, as this is a public space, anything you say here cannot be kept confidential. If you have given information that you or another young has suffered abuse or neglect, we ask you to send us a private message with more details, so that we can pass it on to the NSPCC. Please contact a counsellor to talk this through or any other worries you have.

Wow..this is exactly what it feels like..except sometimes it feels like your also walking in deep water-everything takes tremendous effort..I cant wait to ditch the helmet..!!

Hi there, Childline is a UK charity and we only have counsellors in this country. This means we can only support young people in the UK. And only young people in the UK can sign up for an account and use the 1-2-1 counsellor chat, email and message boards on our site. But you can read our advice and use the rest of our site. Hi, on RU-vid, if you tell us that you or another young person is being abused or has been abused in the past, we will pass this information on to the NSPCC - it can't be kept confidential if you give us any kind of identifying information. That's to make sure young people are being kept safe. Adults can also speak directly to the NSPCC helpline at help@nspcc.org.uk. or on 0800 808 5000. And for any young person who'd like support, the Childline counsellors are always there to listen - it's free to call them on 0800 1111 and you can talk online too at www.childline.org.uk/get-support/.

Hi Rosie, there's always support for you and your friend from the Childline counsellors. It can take a lot to support someone, so sometimes talking about it all can help. That can always be a way to work out what you might want to do. And you can always let your friend know that the counsellors are ready to listen to them too.
