@@0xvybzsoulRARE I first watched the corner in my early 20’s . I binge watched I want to say the whole bunch of episodes in one night , It was real to me. I watched a couple months ago on RU-vid as an old man. It was too much for me. I had to turn that shit off. 😂 🤦♂️
Nah, Snowfall would’ve been made regardless. Its partially inspired by John Singleton’s life. He had enough clout to get his own project off the ground.
Snowfall is the REAL Freeway Ricky Ross Story not John Singletons, a legend solidified way before the Wire, please do your research before you speak..and I love the Wire to be clear
@@cassiusclay4087 I agree. He is trying to make a point about standing shoulders, however the Wire is a great piece fictional work, Snowfall is based on true life. So it could have been made regardless.
Michael K Williams death was so unexpected. The man is a legend, he been in all major tv shows of the 2000s. I just finished watching Boardwalk Empire a couple weeks ago, and now found out he passed... All day I feel sad, he was my favorite actor.
@@WeezyJeffersonYo please tell me you are trolling? It was a metaphor that everyone can learn it just has to pertain to their life. Snoop a hood killer to the bone but sat and listened to the hardware store worker and learned something because it was interesting to her and pertinent to her life in Baltimore. It was in direct correlation to the kids in the school system who are smart and can learn but only if it’s interesting to them and pertinent in their life. Look at how the kids mastered probability because it helped them play dice and gamble better. Get your shit together weezy
Award shows are great at sorting out the usual suspects, less great at recognizing Groundbreaking. The fourth season of the wire blew me away, like nothing ever has.
I saw that interview where King said that about the character. I thought it was significant considering the characters King has created. Have a great one.
Rest in paradise to MKW (Omar coming)...a dynamic person. He saw something in Felicia (Snoop) and said something (mind you, he didn't have to do that; speaks alot to the unique individual he was). I appreciate her gratitude. Anxious to see her in more roles. The Wire....hands down an epic piece of work.
As someone that met him personally several times? This is the ultimate truth. He's done a hell of a lot for my community here in Brooklyn. And he wasn't rich with money yet but with life itself. 🤲🤲🤲
Hearing her voice always makes me smile. Her voice is Bmore to a TEE!!! I’m from NY but all my fam lives in Bmore. Spent my whole life going to Bmore for the summer with my grandma and cousins. The reason I loved the wire because it really was Baltimore the good bad and ugly. Rip Michael!
This is such a real down to earth person no fake , no phony what you see is what you get. She’s not trying to impress a damn soul. I love her authenticity.
Just think of all the things he was able to do with that character on screen? And as a black man?!? Unheard of and TABOO at that very moment. But it was a real secret within our community of a lot of black men coming out of prison and finding themselves to be gay or bisexual. Just not as open. Aka closeted. I remember the 90s and early 2000s in NYC ✅✅✅💯
"Cause The Sopranos they was good, but we was better" That's right Felicia. The Sopranos was "Good Fellas meets The Simpsons" compared to The Wire - which was like a post-grad seminar on urban America. To this day, I'm still saying this to people who have never seen The Wire.
They’re different. The Sopranos was more of a black comedy mob-drama with sitcom-esque elements. While the wire was a political crime drama rooted in realism
Was very shocked to hear about Michael. I was Born and raised in Bmore!! True to life The Wire accurately portrays the city. He was and is a Great actor!! Loved him in Hap and Leonard!!
From the first time I saw her I knew there was something special about her and that was a while back when she was in a rap competition her personality was just magnetic im very happy to see her being blessed 🙌
Snoop is like those I grew up with. She speaks the truth from her life experience. Met Michael years ago and I'm saddened he left sooooo damn soon. His skills were legendary and is missed by all.... Damn......
"Idk much about cards, but I think these .45s beat a full house. Aye yo banker cash me out. I like that ring you're wearing too, boy you got me confused with a man who repeats himself." RIP Omar, Chalky, Michael Williams. Addiction doesn't discriminate, and sometimes, it never goes away.
Hopped on Twitter, & was just in shock. No other way to explain it. The great ones continue to b taken from this world far to early. R.I.P. Michael K. Williams. 🤲🏼🌹🕊🌹🤲🏼
Watching Black Market with Michael K. Williams. So powerful, painful, but yet so inspiring 💯🙌🏽❤️!! Felicia “Snoop” Pearson narrated so beautifully as a nod to the Black Community!!
Her facial features are good looking. She's actually a Tad bite above average in looks.. therefore if she ever put on makeup like some of these girls do that really dont look as good as her without makeup on, im quite sure she would be gorgeous.
Rest In Peace Michael K Williams. Loved him in `gone baby gone`. One of my favorite movies of all time (loved the book author is my favorite author of time)
I got so much Love for this Girl. She came out with a book about her life before the Wire and I'm not a reader, but I couldn't put that book down. Felicia Pearson she on some other shit. Her energy is amazing, anytime I watched the Wire when she came in, I couldn't look away. She's just so real, nomatter what she doesn't try to adapt, she is always who she is, regardless of what part she plays. Felicia I hope you read this, you stay killin it, and I have so much love and respect for you.
I'm from Maryland, this show was the Truth! Michael K. Williams you and the whole cast represented beautifully. Rest in Power Brother! You will be missed and always loved!!! Also, I can't wait to see you again Snoop, you are incredible!!!
I LOVED WATCHING HER❤️❤️❤️🙌🏾my favorite of all time GANSTA sis was pure badass in the wire I WISH SHE GET ON POWER as ghost long lost sister A SHOOTER😎
@@rosalynmcclore They are both great. They truly are. Maybe Tonia T just enjoyed watching the Wire more? In that regatd I’m a Soprano’s man myself, but no one can deny that it was two great shows.
@@shawnconnolly5525 No big deal. Just people usually use that phrase when embarrassed to admit something or they're in the minority on something. Everybody and their mama did what you did lol.
@@TheStranger513 word I hear you yah~nah~mean 💯 written language can be taken out of context depending on how it’s read or the mood the person reading it is in - so I overstand both of your comments ✔️ ~ ✌🏽be with you
The Wire was such an all time great awesome show. Great story lines and legendary characters. My favorite was when they killed Snoop tho. I bet I re watched that part 10 times.
I wish Felicia the VERY BEST. She is amazingly talented. The area of Baltimore where the Wire was shot, is rough (I've been there). However, there are people who survive, and get those "blessed breaks"🤲🏽😌in life. They're able to capitalize on them. I'm so happy for her. 😃 RIP Michael K. Williams
