Hello deni Femina Miss India organisation who also selects 🙏 the representatives grand drop the licence because of unfair behaviour with Indian contestants and they also hate Indian contestants
HEY, Dani! This year's show was held in Manipur, one of the 8 North Eastern States, and the girls are wearing Manipuri traditional outfits, which is distinct from the more traditional Indian-wear like the saree or lehenga. The 2nd RU, Strela Thounajom was also the host delegate.
Nandini was a shocker she wasn’t even in top 15 for most of the people… it was just Megan all the way but Nandini has more than a year to prepare so let’s see
This year Femina miss India was held in the northeast India in manipur and the top 12 actually wore the manipuri dress for the introduction speech segment and walked in it. ❤
The semifinalists are selected by the judges before the finale day . The dress they were wearing was traditional manipuri dress known as phanek it is neither a saree not lehnga. The winner and runner ups were selected by overall performance, interviews, walks and what not. Talking about Nandini she was actually a dark horse but we as Indians loved her as a winner because she was the one who stood out in each step. Previously the runner ups used to go to grand , supra ,etc etc. But now there are different pageants for it like Miss Diva, glamland and the runner up from previous year didn't represent India in any international pageant but we are not sure about this year. PS:Miss Diva is going to start after somedays I would love to see your stand outs. The winner from diva will go to universe and the runner up will go to supranational . We want to see miss supranational 2024 recap ,waiting for your one .
Hello! The semi-finalists (1st cut) are already decided by Preliminary Interviews , later all the candidates are given chance to walk in cocktail and Evening gown more like Opening number :)
I really wanted Megan to win so bad she’s from my state Karnataka … and she will take break and consider for miss diva after some years .. she was fan fav this year
Hey Dani! Hope I'm not too late for this comment but I'm an Indian and here's the translation for Stela's question. She was asked "What is the lesson that failure teaches and success does not"? Hope this will be helpful.
Great recap Dani! I especially love their dance numbers as well, it makes Femina Miss India so exciting to watch every year. 🤩 Would you recap Miss Universo Brazil? I suppose you would need a Portuguese translator for the Q&A part though, it’s the one part we weren’t able to understand.
Nandini was a total darkhorse like she wasn't even in the top 16 of predictions. The fan fav was megan :( who was totally robbed from the crown 😭 but hey she's gonna be our miss universe hehe
@@DaniWalker The main distinction is the way how the part waist down is draped..it is a traditional Manipuri style and differs from a Lehenga. Since the part across the shoulder is a separate piece and not part of the bottom, it is not a Saree as well.
As we know India is one diverse country so judges over there also present diversity. So they just don't judgt only look, walk or confidence but they see one contestants thoughts for future. They observe in constant what's her futuristic thought. They try to find not a national contestants they try to find a global contastant. They see the contastant how much human being and what can offer to the world. I think other contastant answer can relate us but Nandini's answer showed us how we can be to the world and how she would be to the world. Indian contastant on world platform always perform the question and answer round with some remarkable answers.
Winner goes to Miss world Runner up doesn’t go to any pageant since 2020. Also Nandini was dark horse but I see why she won since her answer was the most articulate However I will say Megan was really sincere and she should have been given one crown. Although I think Times group wants to see her compete in miss diva. Cz in the past times group really gave chances to previous queens from this competition in Miss diva
What they r wearing is Phanek n Phii which is traditional wear of Manipur n d Northeast India culture n attire is similar to South East Asia lik Thai n Cambodia.... India doesn't only hv Lehenga n Sari
A bit off topic. Miss Universe seems to set trends. R’Bonney winning in a black gown has opened the door to other participants wearing black. That is iconic!
Can you please do a little something on miss world??... it's been pushed back so many times, but FINALLY gonna happen.... I feel like no ones really paying attention much.
Currently Femina Miss India just hold one franchise that is Miss World and Miss Diva which is the sister pageant of Femina which holds Miss Universe and Miss Supranational franchises.
Its not lehenga ...its similar to sarong and called Phanek - a traditional dress from the Indian state of Manipur. Note that Manipur shares border with Burma and see the similarities of Phanek to Burmese sarong and Thai traditional dress! The additional wrap clothe is called Inaphee but some people also call it half saree especially when women wear it in the way these contestants are wearing else in true traditional style the clothes are usually wrapped from both sides of shoulders
So glad you’re recapping Supra! I live for your recaps and thrifts! ❤All of it, really. Hands down, you’d have been the best Miss USA and Universe, but God had other plans, I guess. I’m so happy I found you on here. My daughter and I just adore you!
Dani, that’s not lahenga. That’s Manipuri traditional dress for women known as Phanek and Enaphi . They are designed by renowned designer Robert Naorem who is famous for designing handloom dresses of Manipur state in India. Please note that not every ladies wear saree in India. Hope it clarifies your doubts.
Hey Dani, this year Miss India was held in North East State of India, Manipur, for the very first time and that's why the Top 12 were dressed in traditional dress of Manipur called 'Phanek'. The Top 12 were already decided on the basis of awards night performance and interviews which were graced and judged by Karolina Biewlaska, the reigning Miss World. All the outfits, gowns and dresses are provided by the Miss India Organization Designers itself, so they don't have the choice to choose for themselves. After Final QnA, they had quite some dance moves with the very famous Bollywood Actor Kartik Aaryan who is every girl's crush here in India. Also the winner will represent India in Miss World 2024 as in 2023 Miss India 2022 Sini Shetty will be representing 🕊️ Loved Your Review 💗💯✨👍
They didn't wear sari or lehenga in that segment, for the first time this pageant was taking place in the north east of India, and therefore the contestants wore traditional Manipuri outfits
I am glad to see the inclusion of Northeast Indians but it would be nice to see more brown Indian women on the stage as India is way more diverse than that
Do you mean darker skinned Indian women? Adline Castalino represented India at Miss Universe and she was brown skinned (or wheatish), Suman Rao, Priyanka Chopra, Harnaaz Sandhu etc
I am not sure do you have experience gone to India how the separate poor and rich different levels how rich people act to poor 😢not thing real life at you see on tv or RU-vid,that I got from my experience.
