I got to be honest, Dave, you are the man to watch...and I have been tinkering with guitars since the early/mid-70's (your age) but I will never use a company like Patreon, NEVER! I've always thought that the switches and knobs in these Fender offsets were just a disaster in waiting. I know that there are players that love them but I can't get past the thought of all the stuff that can break.

I remember getting a guitar in to "fix the wiring" and it had tin foil ( Aluminium cooking foil ) stuck down in side it with blu tack ..

Years ago I tried copper tape, conductive magnetic nickle paint, and other stuff. Nothing reduced the hum in a noticeable manner. Conclusion: hum is the price you pay for the sharpness of non-humbucker pickups.

the neck is not on very straight , the top E is almost not on the fingerboard at the body end

So I have never made a comment before but I need to say that the trem setup on these is very critical and it seems that you just missed that part. Proper setup can be found all over the google. Thanks for all your entertainment and work.

I'm so bummed. My DWoFS sticker came off. I don't guess it was designed for car windows. Snow and cold made the adhesive let go. I did find that it had come off, so I saved it. I'll transfer it to something a bit less subjected to the elements. But my car is a bit less stylin'.

I don't know why these jags never took off as much as I think they should have. I have had a 63 modles that I got from my dad back In the mid 70s. He bought it used in the mid to late 60s.they have a very smooth tremendous arm that works very well once you adjusted it properly. I have a strat too that has different tonal sound and the neck is of course 25.5 compared to 24 on the jaguar.i have average size hands with fingers a bout the same length also and I find it much easier to play the jag than I do the strat of course there are certain things that it has wrongdoing wise that could be improved on like anything else but all in all its a very well made interment with more flash than most .oh about the controls there very easy just remember flip the top switch in the up position the top knows work flip it down the bottom ones do that's it in a nutshell.

There is nothing wrong at all with a perfectly set up Jag. It is a pity that the neck was off its centre line. It will be a bitch to play until those strings are made to line up true. I have seen you miss that problem before, Dave. Nevertheless it was great to see you clear everything else up.

i'm an engineer... and this just looks like an engineer trying to make this work without reading up how things work. the guy had the right idea, but didnt know how to finish it. the grounding is not uniform.
