Dave Collins and Del Breckenfeld From Fender Guitars joined forces with Little Kids rock and Shannon Tweed to bring the music to the kids. OBVIOUSLY THIS FOOTAGE IS PROPERTY OF A&E AND I HAVE NO CLAIM ON IT WHATSOEVER
A well taken care of instrument lasts a lifetime. In my high school, we had a tuba that was bought in the 1940s when the school first opened. My snare for football games was 1966. Best sounding snare I've ever played. A rimshot with a DC17 stick sounded like a gunshot. It commanded respect to all within earshot. Enjoy every minute of it, Alex!
I am a Canadian and grew up in the same area that Shannon did and I JUST LOVE her down to earth personality. Her and Gene are great parents and wonderful people who have not allowed fame to go to their heads and instead embraced it for the good.
Despite everything Gene went through & even all the bad stuff he did in his life , he & his family & band mates are really great people . When I was around 6,7, or 8 , I had a chance to go to a KISS concert with my 13 year older cousin but my mom wouldn’t let me go , I think it would of been a blast .
THAT WAS VERY KIND OF YOU SHANNON. I LIKE IT WHEN PEOPLE WHO HAVE MORE THAN ENOUGH MONEY SHARE IT WITH PEOPLE WHO ARE LESS FORTUNATE..... THANK YOU FOR YOU'RE GENEROSITY!!!
If you think the Simmons family picked up the tab for this your delusional. It is nothing but shameless self promotion aimed exactly at people like you.
Shannon is the woman of the hour......she must have loved him to stay, but she made him face his demons and figure out she would be the only one holding his hand on his death-bed....great kids BTW....I wish I was married to Shannon....
Will family jewels ever make a come back on tv? I really liked it. You guys are hilarious 🤣 but I see the love you guys have for one another. I love it.
2:12. There’s the Angus Young moves! 😃. Always good to see that move. I remember doing that all the time in high school with my Gibson SG. Everyone would say “there goes Elliott. Mr AC/DC.” Great time in my life. Still do Angus’s whole performance to this day as my form of therapy and exercise.
"Gene, aren't you glad I got Fender to donate the guitars for the kids"? They donated them alright, right out of Genes bank account lol. Which is what makes him so cool, his generosity.
@@dd090304 Oh ok, my bad then. I was going by Gene's reaction when Shannon said that he had them donated and he said "I did"? I took that to mean a gift. He's still a very generous guy though lol. So, kudos to Fender, and thanks for the correction.
If you notice there is an 'engaged' music teacher of the class whom devoutly believes these wonderful young people can achieve their life-goals through music. That man is a pioneer in-earnest. I'm still looking for a follow-up video from GSFJ on Gene's alleged benevolent gift, and the effect it had for these young people.
Fender can send me another Squire Strat I'll sign away 10 years of my future songwriting royalties for it. (OK those would be $-8.84 so not a good deal for them)
I really appreciate what gene did for these kids, however he’s a little wrong about the saving part. It may make some of them successful, but being famous can get them drugs easier then getting them on the street
So getting women is not a perk of being a rock star? They all have to pay for them, or is that just Gene? I highly doubt he has had to pay for women over the years. He is a rock star for crying out loud. Now tell us something we will actually believe lol.
