What does he mean, "Not the best thing he's seen?" This car is absolutely beautiful... I fell in love with the Modena, and now this... there aren't words to describe it...
not the best looking thing i have ever seen??? i really don't know why there are so many people saying that for the F430 and 430 scuderia. for me they are 2 of the best looking cars i have ever seen...
The 430 & 430 Scud body styling are partly an homage to the 250 LM; the most recent Ferrari to win Le Mans outright. I had the honor of driving a Scud on a racetrack. I had so much fun, it was a miracle I didn't kill myself. I didn't, probably, because I didn't want to be remembered as a statistic: A person who reduced the number of Scuds on the planet by one.
simone MILANO do you drive one ? ....I do , and I agree, I drove F355 and Dino 246..experienced 360 and Challenge stradale...bjt this one undoubtedly is magic, the gearbox shifts are outrageous , a truly racecar on the road.
I was there earlier today!!!! Saw 458, 599XX, LP-570-4 superleggera, California, 599, 430 scuderia, and got a very special surprise visit from a 599 GTO!!! what an amazing sound that car makes all are truly incredible.
I just can't get it - why so many people says that "It's not the best looking thing"? In my opinion F430 and F430 Scuderia are very awesome and pretty cars! Especially then you see it on the road by your own eyes.
When he was stretching her legs on the racetrack, my heart was pounding. Such an impressive piece of machinery...Gotta love it...Wish I could drive one just once! heh
Actually I have seen both a Enzo and Scuderia in person. They are both stunning cars, the Enzo for that matter is probably the best car of the 21 century. All I'm saying is the front end sticks out a little.
The visceral experience of driving the ferrari 430 Scuderia is clearly conveyed in this video. Arguably, it's more exciting than a ferrari 458 to drive, at least that's what I heard on another video about the Scuderia. I can only imagine that the successor to this car, the 458 scuderia, will be just mind blowing.
The review by Tiff from Fifth Gear is also quite good and I believe he also did a lap in the Enzo in a earlier episode and compared his time in the Scuderia to that of the Enzo and they were identical.
Just a quick question, are these limited edition?? If so, how many in total have they produced? Reason is that it seems very hard to get one even if u have the cash for em. Maybe buying one that is marked up from private seller/broker?
This guy is actually quite good. Though he doesn't have quite the entertainment value of Top Gear he is easy to listen to and unlike Fifth Gear is actually just being himself as it seems. The car, well I often when watching these reviews do my best (though its impossible to completely succeed of course) to put myself (from his commentary) into his shoes and if I were in his shoes I'd be amazed at just how precisely good the car is, and just what a masterpeice it is.
This is the second Ferrari video I've seen where it looks like the driver wore a racing harness on the road, and a regular 3 point seatbelt on the track. Is it so the driver is easier to extract if they crashed?
Wow. I'll never afford this thing. Look at the brakes. The front discs. They are nearly the size of the wheels! Holy mother, this Italian is such an art ..
F430 Scuderia has the best seat and driving position in the world. That's if you happen to be a small person. But I truly loved the F430 on a race track. It's a great car. No doubt. Now you say: "You have never driven one!". Yes, that's correct. I have never driven an F430 coupe, only the F430 Spider M16. So, I know nothing about this hard top sister model. But the Spider version is marvellous machine.
How much faster is the gearbox on the scuderia than the stock 430 ? I am thinking of either saving up for n F-430 or a ZR1 corvette. I know ferarri's maintenance and repairs would be a bitch, but how often do you have to send your car in the the ferrari shop? " I know how to change my own oil/filters and easy general maintenance. But how often do parts break down and tune-ups occur? Please answer this legit. Thanks guys
@superDrmaximus That particular blue, Grigio Alloy, is my favorite color for the Scuderia. Every time I change my mind about my favorite color, I ALWAYS go back to Grigio Alloy. There's just something so special about it. I think because of the way it accentuates the lines of the car so perfectly.
yeah thats true but for example when I cruise in a city or on a motorway at 6th gear it is good to listen some music. Otherwise, Superleggera has a radio, GT3 and GT2 have a radio
I agree with nitromad1, to an extent. You have to remember this video is meant as an addition to those of us who buy autocar regular, who appreciate how good of a driver chris really is and how honest he is. To you 'ignite7' i say get a life, his job is to test drive new cars to their limits and report on that, what has he failed to do?! Quite simply if you don't like his reporting style, or feel he's done a bad service, feel free to turn off.
please tell me witch is faster ferrari testerossa or ferrari scuderia i have the testerossa and my brother has the scuderia we want to race to see witch is faster but the roads are broken up in my city please tell me!!!!:)
I do wish that they would fit the paddles to the wheel. I have driven an F1 gear box and as impressed as I was, I was infuriated by having to take my hand off the wheel amid corner to get the down shift. I know u should have shifting done before the corner but it was a high speed corner :\
Even if you have a reasonably quick tuned Evo, you can't make that Evo have a sequential manual gearbox that upshifts in 60 ms, which is as fast (as he points out) as the Ferrari F2004 Formula 1 car by spending an extra 100,000 dollars. You can't make your car as light, since the F430 is constructed almost entirely of carbon fiber.
No you create it so you do not have to take your hands off the wheel, plus it is faster. You can't have the gear change rotate with the wheel because when you make a sharp turn you are rotating so far that the gear up would be on the opposite side. You can't drive with your hands at the 3 and 9 oclock positions the ENTIRE time. You wouldn't be able to shift.
Well, went to the dealership 2days ago. And they told me that these were all sold out. So I'd just pick the "Normal" F430. Guess I'd have to do some mods. Luckily it comes standard with Carbon Ceramic brakes for this year model.
i noticed he fumbled for the gear shifters at some points, however, i know this guy is a superb trained driver, why cant they fit it with a manual if its that much of a drivers car. give me a clutch pedal any day
This and the 599 are the only two Ferraris I give a damn about. Shcumacher matched the Ferrari test driver's time around this track in this car. The thing is... the other guy was driving an Enzo.
The things that make this car faster than tuner cars are not things you can necessarily purchase with that 100,000 dollar differential. This car was engineered by the best of the best, people who have engineered Formula 1 cars that have dominated the circuits of the world over the last decade or so.
Its better looking than the 599. Im not a big fan at all of the paddle shifters, but at least it works right, and they put it in a thouroghbred. The 458 is nice and everything, and they will make a racier version in it in the next year or so. I just prefer the scuderia.
I'm a Ferrari nut. Absolutely. However my little quirk about the F430 is that the cluster is wearing a "flappy hat". It is, go look!! Its a freaking flappy hat sitting on the dashboard above the instrument cluster. Drives me nuts. Its all frumpy looking.
