It is a tricky turn if your tires aren’t warm. I’ve seen a lot of guys carry too much speed through the esses and end up in the gravel on turn 5 as well. This is my favorite circuit in North America. The setting, the elevation changes, the way the Porsche RSRs scream going down the back straight, and how far away from the track you can still hear the race cars because of the echos off the mountains. Man this place always gives me goosebumps. The people are always friendly as well.
Same thing happened to me, first session at my first HPDE. Had a failed ABS module and didnt know it, tapped the brakes at the inside of a tight curve and spun her. Mistakes without collisions are just free lessons!
I thought the same thing! It's definitely the HUD and camera angle, and the fact there are no shadows cast because of clouds/time of day so everything looks sort of flat
Sitting in the racing line on cold tires, riding the brake, touching the curb, and mashing the throttle. He definitely didn’t earn that car on a race driver salary that’s for sure. 😂 might want to try to do some autocross or track days across the street in a mr2 or mx5 before he totals his Ferrari.
Cold tires like others said and pushing trying to race the car behind that was already on the course and tires in optimal temperatures. run your race not the car behind plus let the faster car go
Based on driving before tge spin you should have saved way off, it was going to happen sooner or later Ferrari driver is typical of someone buying a Hugh performance car makes them a race driver, it's a DE event and they probably told their friends tgey were racing
The ego on that ferrari driver. Bro, let the car that's been on track and fully warmed up pass you by. Then spins out like a noob. Classic big headed rich guy stuff.
not gonna lie seems like you should've just stopped or slowed down way more but you kept going and almost hit him lol. If someone is about to crash in front of you unless you wanna be involved you should prob stop. It seemed like you were about to but then couldn't make up your mind. Anyway cool video
