No bullshit armchair analysis here, how refreshing! An actual "expert"on aerodynamics with education a degree and actual F1 experience explaining in lay terms for us aerodynamic dummies how things work. Also the disclaimer at the beginning of the video highlights the point that any analysis performed even by you an expert on renderings and or photographs of the real mccoy are educated "guesses". Appropriate and professional. Other channels, pretenders make me chuckle they can't touch this explanation.
The McLaren has no overbite, which incidentally makes little sense. The sidepod intakes are the same. What McLaren has is a kind of floor edge wing, but no overbite. This would be aerodynamically fatal as the excess air from the radiators would flow into the undercut and along the sides at high speeds, which would not only upset the whole aerodynamics there but also on the side of the underfloor.
Thanks for doing this, even though you have'nt seen a large amount of changes yet i would still really appreciate if you could review all the cars, even if it's just once we hit testing. :)
Kyle, you're without a doubt the best RU-vid engineer for F1, I'm sure you're doing a lot of consulting, but damn I love your videos, they help me understand what teams are doing with their new cars. Thank you for helping us understand what is going on with all the new cars, it's much appreciated.

Finally, you are back to take a look at the new cars. Thanks for your vids. We missed you! And do not worry about not enough new stuff... You can pick one little detail from all cars and make a shorter video and cover them all... And we will enjoy! This applies throughout the season, every upgrade / change is a good reason for a 5 mins video.

Hey Kyle! I just discovered your channel and I’m loving your videos. I wanted to give you one piece of advice as a professional audio engineer: the mic that you’re using is really not designed to pick up sound from that far away. A dynamic mic doesn’t typically perform very well at a distance, and being in an echoey room doesn’t help either. Your viewers will have a much better audio experience if you move the mic closer to your mouth, ideally under 12 inches or so. Keep making great content, looking forward to what you put out in the future!

Good to see you back on the analysis to help those of us with limited understanding gain some insight. Thanks. Surprised theser was no mention of the rear suspension and how that may effect the diffuser, being they are going a way everyone else isnt.
Liking the what appear to be turning vanes on the halo. Makes sense they're there to tidy the flow, maybe preventing spill from affecting the downwards on top of the pods and/or air coming from the cooling vents. Great analysis (as always) 👍
Totally get that a lot of the cars don't have much changes to warrant you filming a whole video, but maybe once testing starts a round of the collection of new and interesting stuff is something I'd look forward too. :) love the work you do with the F1 and non F1 stuff.
Thank god someone with actual credentials and credibility is doing analysis on the newly released F1 cars. Too many glorified journalists, talking nonsense for views, clicks and likes.
Pleas do this for all cars :) And maybe if you have the time also for the updates true the season. I love your videos. It makes the aerodynamics „understandable“ 💪🏼
Great insight for a none engineer to learn from you. It would be awesome If you can do an Video in the VCARB car. It would be interesting to see how much of a change from the Alpha Tauri and how similar it is or isn't to the Red Bull?
Great video. Could you do one for the w15? A lot of interesting changes noticeably in the front wing and potential an overbite on the side pod in non render photos
It'd be nice if you could do an aero wrap-up video when we see the real thing in a race. Make point out changes and what that means if there's anything significant. I can't wait until you do the Mercedes and Red Bull.

It would be great if you did analyses on MotoGP bikes. It looks so complicated. I think it creates more problems than solutions, but I just ride bikes. Not even a novice, in that space. :)
