As I understand it, the black castor cap is supposed to be removed to allow the grease to exit upwards without blowing the lower seals. That whole tube needs filled with Red n' Tacky. Not actually done at the factory. They just pack each bearing.

Yeah whichever dealer set up this tractor did NOT do anything right. The deck wasn't level, belt tension wasn't right, literally nothing lol
