In my opinion it’s always best to pick a travel option that allows you to see as much of the country and landscape as possible, so naturally when leaving Europe I opted to take the ferry from Algeciras, Spain to Tangier, Morocco! If you’ve been wondering what the ferry experience across the strait of Gibraltar is like then look no further and give this video a watch because in this episode of FionnOnTheRoad I’ll teach you exactly what to do… and what not to do. As I unfortunately discovered for myself that the ferry does not actually go to Tangier, at least not the Tangier I THOUGHT it did.
This is an incredibly beautiful city with hints of European influence in the architecture, while remaining a distinctly Moroccan city with it’s many distinct charms, and friendly population. After arriving in Tangier I take an afternoon to walk around the historic Medina, get lost in it’s endless maze of alleys and shops, and try a Moroccan classic, Tagine!
