Kariuki's crass character is the embodiment of Kenya's corruption and a society devoid of patriotism. Kariuki is protected by government officials who benefit from the proceeds of crime and this is why he can with impunity, manufacture his own reality fully knowing that he took advantage of a tender and sold earth to the government and reaped hefty profits for himself at the behest of endangering everyone.

I am bitter, frustrated, and betrayed as a Kenyan. Farming is an investment that takes an average of 6 months to make a harvest when planting maize. Then you get zero harvest, shockingly our own sitting president and others are entangled. What a shame, to make matters worse the salesperson is luring the farmer to try it always take caution with the so-called salespersons.

His “need” to make quick money should be a red flag to anyone who might encounter him in future for business. These are the weeds we need to root out in Kenya. The confidence this man has also speaks volumes, someone in government is backing him at the expense of Kenyans. Blaming employees for incompetence is the highest level of incompetence on your side as a business owner! It’s just sad how much such people benefit while honest farmers just want to ensure there’s adequate and safe food supply in Kenya. Absolute disgrace!

KEBS should be sued. Diatomite is not sand as they now claim. They must show us the first analysis that was done and allowed the use of their mark. KEBS standards are under scrutiny here. This issue calls for mass action by farmers and consumers.

This a nice piece of journalism. We know in Kenya, those individuals behind this won't be prosecuted. We know Kenyans won't complain/demonstrate against this mess. Since no political class will be ready to head the demonstrations concerning this damage. However, the advantage of such journalism is to atlist educate the public to not buy subsidized goods if there are options. It's better to buy thing expensively with certainty instead of being robbed from your tax through subsidy programme then robbed further directly from your pocket. Let's share this scam with farmers. So that they won't be robbed in broad day light and left with harmful products to kill generations. I hope KBC/Citizen TV/KTN/NTV/T47 will report this, as we rem the team of journalist in our prayers.

The farmer in this story needs educating. Organic farming is not for kitchen gardens. If he is using fertilizers and pesticides he is responsible for toxins in the human food chain. I would be happy to teach him how to regenerate his soils and farm cheaper without reliance on synthetic chemicals and produce healthier and tastier crops whilst improving his soil health.

As you listen you can tell that someone isn't the sharpest tool in the shed by the way they contradict themselves leave alone the very telling body language. Kenya has had the same cycle and it is very SAD.
