A video comparing features and best uses for reach of these routers. Some of the best I've ever used and if your only going to get one I'll explain my pick . #festool #woodworkingtools#routers #tools #toolreview
The guitar is very cool.👍🏻 I love using my 1010 for routing out door hinges. So easy to get the depth and do it free hand. No need to make jigs for different size hinges as it’s so easy to use and control.
If you had it to do over, would you purchase two Festool 1400 routers or have one 1400 and one 1010 router? I'm in that situation where I already have one 1400, but I can't decide to buy another Festool 1400 or go with the smaller 1010. I'd like one to use principally on the LR32 for line boring and cabinet hinge work. I also plan to get a trim router and can't decide if the 700 for edge band trimming is worth the premium cost as compared to much less expensive small trim routers.
@@86ConstructionContracting Thanks. I was sort of leaning in that direction, but I didn't want to spend those really big bucks without at least some 3d party confirmation. I'm am a bit of a Festool junkie, and I didn't want that to overpower my judgment.
Absolutely. Not at a 1/4 inch per pass but yes. I used a 3/4 top bearing in it to clean out the electronics cavity of my guitar after I got tired of chiseling.
@@86ConstructionContracting i was thinking that, i buy the 1010 because of price then realize the 1400 is better..paying cheaper and paying twice as its said. Do you ajust the height then from under the table? ps what router insert plate do you use?
I actually just made my own router table insert. I used to have the cms router table from festool. But you can do everything with a table you made yourself. I made a video on it.
