They will be on the left side, move downwards to locate the kidneys. The kidney at the same side as the heart and stomach will be the left kidney and the other one will be the right kidney.
Hey Bro I’m back! Had one more question. I got a message saying, Imaging Through The Filled Bladder Reveals No Intrinsic Abnormality. Bladder Volume Is 188 cc. Post Voiding There Was 5 cc. Bilateral jets are seen. The Prostrate Measures 38 cc. Impression: Normal Ultrasound Of The Kidneys.
Hello! Good day! There is no abnormality found in your bladder and there are no issues with bladder emptying. Bilateral jets are seen means both your ureters are draining normally into the bladder which is good. Your prostate is slightly enlarged.

I Got These Results On My Kidney Ultrasound. Do I Need Ro To Redo My Test? Unremarkable exam. However, examination is somewhat limited due to overlying bowel gas.
Unremarkable exam means your kidney is normal, but some areas were not seen due to bowel gas. You can redo your test. Fast for 4-6 hours before your ultrasound and drink around a litre of water an hour before your scan and do not urinate. Fasting reduces bowel gases and makes it easier to see organs.
@@DrSamsImagingLibrary oh wow you’re the best. I was actually fasting last time when they saw the bowel gas. My doctor said they found H. Pylori in my gut. Could that be what’s causing the gas? I’m scheduled to retake my kidney ultrasound sound and I haven’t eaten in 2 days. I’m on a 3 day fast on just water. I’m praying the gas thing doesn’t interfere with the test again. I’m going in because I’ve had foamy urine for a year. My urinalysis is normal meaning no protein found. I want the foamy/bubbly Urine to end. ☺️

Good day! If there is clear evidence that one kidney is absent and there is no ectopic kidney present either, then you can write unilateral renal agenesis. But if there is uncertainty in determining if the second kidney is absent or not, then you can write solitary kidney.
This means both the kidneys are enlarged because urine is not draining properly. There are many reasons for this. There could be an obstruction in the urinary tract. It may also be caused by polycystic kidney disease. Further ultrasound tests are required to fully evaluate the condition. Please consult with your sonologist and gynecologist for follow up and management.
