I love how confident the composer is in this track. It's just that one main melody rearranged to rise in intensity throughout the whole song and it's amazing and they know it. So amazing in fact that it gets yet another version for Rebirth as heard in the most recent SGF trailer. They just keep hitting the mark with this FF7 Remake soundtrack aren't they?
The composer from the Ace Combat series was called on to do this boss theme, dude is f'cking nuts with his compositions and NAILED the execution of this one.
They played some bits of Catastrophe and Ghoulish Symphony in thr trailer as well, they were very confident about their original compositions being memorable and I couldn't be more happy about it

It's those nice open horn and string sections layered over fast techno, percussion, and string rhythm sections. Very AC, and I love it. EDIT: oh and it's actually by the one and only Keiki Kobayashi! No wonder! Haha.

That repeating main melody on strings - best heard at 2:05 - 2:32, especially the 2:09 - 2:12 and 2:22 - 2:24 parts. What does it keep reminding me of?! It's so similar to another soundtrack but I don't know which one. I have a feeling it's from an anime. Or a game (probably asian-made). I'm pretty sure it's none of the titles mentioned in other comments (like Chrono Trigger, Hero Academia, Ace Combat, Pokemon), I've checked those already. It's stuck in my head :( Does anyone have any ideas?
@@corruptedteka Definitly do. "Liberation of Gracemeria" is a prime example. "Agnus Dei" "Alicorn" "Archangel", most of the OST's from the Ace Combat franchise are incredibles.
