Vincent's defense & magic defense gets boosted 100% while in Chaos. If you've done any moderate source farming for him, he is basically invincible except to gravity and fixed percentage attacks. Also, Great Gospel is good, but I think one of her level 3s fills all ally's limit bars. So basically an Aeris level 3 can be both an omnislash and a highwind. (Edit: it's actually a level 2 so it's even worse) She had to die. She would have been so OP in the end game.
Fury Brand can be her best limit cause if two of your characters just used their limit breaks she can instantly fill them up giving you a back to back omnislash + highwind. I liked that you pointed that out. Her level 4 is just the same effect as both her level 3 limit breaks.
Love all your content! And you are right of course. But, I think it's worth mentioning WHEN in the game you get these limits. Even switching back to Lv3 later on, I used Cosmo Memory way more than Highwind just because it is available so early and when the team is undeveloped. 1. Cosmo Memory: Nibelheim 2. Great Gospel: Tiny Bronco (but only usable in Wutai/Temple of the Ancients thereafter) 3. All Creation: Wutai, although if you want 4 maxxed out E Skill materia you need to wait until the airship. By then it is useless. 4. Omnislash: Tiny Bronco, though easier to get after Cloud returns Quite a bit later... 5. Catastrophe: Right before Cloud returns 6: Final Heaven: After Cloud returns 7. Highwind: After submarine 8, Chaos: After Midgar raid Again, I agree with you in terms of the numbers, but in terms of in-game usefulness it's worth mentioning.
They could just remove the damage cap if they want to rebalance these limits to be strictly better or give these limits a natural break damage cap. The damage cap is the problem for most of these limits anyway.
Exactly, the problem with many of Tifa’s limit breaks is that they have a damage cap at 9999, meaning she only gets to hit 8*9999 times maximum and even then you’re not guaranteed all 8 hits. Don’t even get me started on Yuffie’s All Creation which by the time you get it would be useless since her conformed would be consistently doing 9999 damage anyway
The first time I beat FF7 I got to the very end really underprepared. I ended up beating Safer Sephiroth by getting a Cait Sith limit break death. I swear this is a true story. I have played this game ever since it came out and that was the only time I got a death from Cait Sith.
It was the opposite for me. I went into the final battles overprepared. I was still very anxious during the Safer Sephiroth fight, being 12 at the time lol. Somehow made it with only one casting of Super Nova. My friend and brother cheering me on probably helped too.
she doesn´t die too early. she dies in the middle of the game basically. i mean the first disk have the majority of the story and its longer than disk 2 and 3
I don't always watch FF7 videos. But when I do, it's from a guy that lost the easiest submarine fight in the history of ever and got the red submarine missing the red huge materia.
You can use great gospel as much as you want you’re still like my sister and you’re still level up Aries and never let her go and stay there in the game not to lose her or I guess there are some glitchy ways to bring her back
I mean technically? There's a Yuffie-warp glitch that lets Aerith come back to life for the Jenova fight right after she dies but iirc it softlocks the game

I like omnislash, but the animation takes too long so I don't use it until a tough battle. Same with Tifa, I limit her to her second limit just so the animation doesn't take forever, but i really hate the slots.
Vincent's CHAOS limit break has one subtle perk. His defense goes through the roof. Really hard to damage I find. Galian Beast is the fastest boost in game even with maxed out speed stats. Better to go with HellMask as it's a 5x cut. Cait Sith yeah I figured that one out way back. Really nice to be able to view them all. All Cait Sith slots though turn you into a huge Cait Sith which is a lot of fun. Red XIII Earth Rave? Isn't that just a 5x attack? Better off with his lv. 2 falling star one. That one hits a bunch doesn't it?
Really comes down to personal preference when choosing a party for max damage. Ideally, I roll with Cloud (Omnislash), Yuffie (Doom of the Living) and Cid (Highwind). If you go into battle vs a boss with those three, with full limit break meters, that boss can pretty much say goodnight.... In the end game, the point (to me) is max damage inflicted.... so when a character has a limit break that does one single attack....and you have 4x-cut materia......that character is basically worthless (sorry, Vincent.... and Red XIII's Earth Rave does five hits instead of the four you get normally from 4x-cut....so Red is worthless too.....) I don't even bother with Cait Sith or Tifa's....having to work for something that should be free, forget that. Barret's Ungarmax is the only other limit worth my time, and if i am feeling froggy, he will replace Cid in the party with Yuffie and Cloud.
vincent's limit break may seem garbage to most, but he's able to solo quite a bit easier than other characters with them. though for the most part, it's pretty lackluster compared to hitting quad 9s millions of times. sort of like how kimahri gets shafted in X, the damage limit makes the stronger attacks much weaker.
Tifa is my favorite character in the beginning and middle of the game. But her ultimate weapon makes her useless. Can't use 2x/4 cut because her damage is shit. And when her limit is full I can't use that materia. So I have to rely on deathblow/mug/counter attack and it sucks.
tifa has three of the other best weapons in the game: one with max hit% rate, one with low HP/death sentence buffs, and one with general status effects buffs. Like Gerald said, get the curse ring and put tifa in ur party with that weapon and you will hit for 9999 like almost guarenteed
my favourite is Ungarmax/Angermax Make barrets strength max and give herodrinks to barret. Put mime and counter 8 times and see how emerald weapon suffer 😈
Great Gospel? sure, its useful BUT when is that... i never use this limit break in my recent playthroughs. cause theres no enemy in disc 1, that made me use it. though hacking Aerith back in Disc 3 is another story. if you dont feel like beating Weapons with Overpowered Materia combinations, Great Gospel will give you that breathing room.
If you power level aerith's limits you basically have disc 1 beaten regardless of your char's levels, especially if you stick a hyper on her and a couple cover materia, everyone will just constantly be healed to max and invincible.
I think I brought her to the Arena with that limit active in Disc 1 in order to get Omnislash. A very special gift of her to Cloud before she leave the party.
Even if we argue that Aeris could be used in disc 2 and 3 her great gospel wouldn’t be all amazing since you could get unlimited amount of mega elixirs with the W-item trick And yes Great gospel makes your party invincible but you won’t receive any damage so your limit break bar won’t fill And also some enemies can still defeat you even in “peerless” status Ruby weapon whirlpool Ghost ship goannai
Yes all creation does 8X normal damage and Cosmo memory does 7.8 At low levels before maxing out levels they actually really powerful they both can be learned early on disc one Unfortunately they do become useless late game
