Absolutely wonderful new additions as always! By the way, I finally got my hands on a Westminster/Fontenoy clock which I'd been wanting for over a year. It arrived just today, and after setting it up it's already one of my favorite clocks ever! Video will be out next week
Congrats on getting the FFR clock together :D It's the first one of these with this style of case that I've seen. Hope your collection will keep growing. Good luck with future projects! I'll also have to mess with an Electro-Vedette in a few weeks. It hasn't arrived yet.
See, this is why I so absolutely love your channel! You've got both great skills, and impeccable taste! These are both fantastic, and you're right, this Herschede has some of the nicest rods I've ever heard on one! The FFR sounds grand as well, although... and it feels strange saying this, because I generally like more mellow-sounding chimes... but actually, I think these four-chime ones were actually designed to sound quite loud and strident. At least, pretty much every one I've heard sounds like that. That said, to me personally, the muted quality you've given it with the new hammer leather is quite a lovely change.
2nd clock. Yes,chime sounds fab. I hope you make clock repair your main job! Thought about going to BHI in England? Pity you're not in Scotland, as I have a fair few chimers needing attention
absolutely! I am planning to make an update of my collection, but I’d love to go through and make a video showing all the different chime clocks and unique movements in my collection as well
