I consider myself a pretty darn good Ninja player at this point since having started playing the game just now a year ago and that Kamaitachi section helped me out sooo much. True, that being said tanks have their own things to worry about like mitigation. Their rotation relies heavily on weaving in their mits to prevent clipping or doing it too early or late Healers are basically the "mistake fixers" as outside heavy damage stuff they dont do much. It can either be the hardest or easiest class purely dependent on party
tanks are way more stressful when you're in hard content imo, unlike a dps if you dont press one of your buttons or press it too early the entire party just dies lol
I just do my opener and after that spam what ever comes first off of cd. 😅 no complaints from anyone so far. Not the best way to play ninja but I get through all the content without much effort class wise.

My main dps used to be ninja and I loved it! I'm a healer main in savage but have wanted to use my ninja just knew I'd need a guide to use it perfectly. This was an amazing guide, voiceover was on point loved it. Very helpful and exactly what I was looking for!

I think Samurai my most favourite Job so far but im still overwhelmd by it sometimes ngl.(Especially bc im on Controller and changed some buttons on the cross hotbar to figure out the most convenient way of using the skills) Im really thankful for ur Clips so keep havin fun:)
Had to login to comment on this, as a new/returning player and recently decided to pick ninja this is the most well explained guide I've seen from any classes I've tried, not only you take the time to show everything you are talking about but you are also giving very useful priority tips and orders. My main language is french and I was also really able to grasp everything you were saying without issues. 11/10
My intro to savage was the first 6.0 tier and I started as monk then bard, but swapped to ninja because I loved the play style. Second tier I was phys ranged the whole time (dnc/mch), and for this tier my main is a healer but I made an alt JUST to PF on ninja because I missed it so much. This video taught me a lot; even as a pretty solid ninja (have some pinks/oranges/purples for most content), I still learned a ton- specifically around Shukuchi. I didn't realize you could use it to guard KB, or that raiton reset it; I have 3 instances of it on my hb (mo macro, target macro, vanilla to pick where I go) but I think I'll swap the vanilla one to a kb instead of clicking. Clicking with shukuchi is clunky at best (esp in PVP, it's a mess) so the double tap might be the better play. Liked and subbed, keep up the killer informational content!
Hello! The 4th trick window (the second odd-minute window after the 2-min mug) can be optimized a bit further. Instead of doing the last Raiton into Raiju You can instead do 123 under bunshin which will grant you a bhava to use before the trick window ends. [The + is the bunshin stack] Raiton into Raiju+ (650 + (560 + 160)) = 1370 Spinning+ into GustSlash+ into AeolianEdge+ into bhava (220 + 160) + ( 320 + 160) + (440 + 160) + 350 = 1810 1810 > 1370 (Under trick window) Hope this helps!
I just acquired NIN and now level 45, I recognize that I am lost towards the advanced mechanics of the video, however, to be explained thoroughly the ins and outs of the rotations and abilities with proper order of use was great. I will be returning to this video once I am higher in lvl. I will take my time and reference your video down the road! Great guide
I recently came back to the game and want to complete all the job quests in EW. I took a look at my melee dps and realized I really enjoy ninja so I started clumsily leveling it. I'm at 77 right now and this video is very helpful in making me a better ninja. I know a lot of it is Min/max which is wasted on a fat fingered player like me but the way you broke everything down is extremely helpful. Thanks for the Video. I started watching you when you first started the game and you used to get so hyped up it was infectious. Glad to see you are still enjoying ninja and FF14.
I don’t think I’ll ever use nin for savage or ultimates however recently I been wanting to solo run heaven on high with nin and it’s super fun! However I was still confused on certain skills like hurajin so I reallllly appreciate your basic and advanced info which clears up a lot!
Hi nice guide. I have one question, what are you doing if Mug and Trick Attack drift appart from each other bc downtime etc? Or is that generally not happening in Raids?
The only major downside to this is losing the ability to ground target if you only use MO. A ground target gap closer can help you get to specific spots in the arena where your ally is not, if you only use the macro and never the ground target then its nerfing yourself from using the full capabilities that Shukuchi provides which is precision and freedom of where to go.
Perfect timing on this vid, I JUST cleared P9S for the first time with my scrubby month-old ninja after about 200ish attempts :D. I parsed grey, but since it’s my first clear a few weeks after release with 640 gear I’m not taking that parse too seriously for now. I used your earlier video to help out with learning the opener. NIN opener seems pretty intimidating at first but I felt much better doing it 3 days into practicing it, and now I can basically throw it out without looking. Gonna save the vid for later but I can already tell this is gonna be packed with value. Just wanted to chime in and thank you for your work 👍
I usually dont loke rogues and ninjas. Was leveling lancer to 30 but i want to wait for my friend to continue the MSQ with him, so cant yet unlock drg. I wandered by the rogue guild and i was like 'I forgot that was even ijbthe game'. Gave it a try and im hooked. Only level 15 but it feels solid and i keep getting commendations in duties.

@Alninio just for my personal understandig. Maybe it's a stupid question. But where is the point in storing your ninki to a point where you nearly overcap? Or is it pointless and I also could spend it under the condition that I save it at times, where I know (let's say) my Bunshin is coming up or I get 2 Bhavas under my odd trick windows?
The general rule behind using up your ninki just before it caps is so that: 1 - if bunshin comes up, you want to have the ninki to use it since we pop bunshin everytime its available and you dont wanna delay bunshin 2 - in the event you go inside a trick window, you'll potentially have a bavakhakra inside trick if you dont spend ninki as soon as it hits 50/100 - if we spend at 90 or 95, you wont need many gcds to reach 50 ninki.
I wasn't talking about the bunshin clone DPS, I was talking about the potency differentiation between regular aelion and regular armor crush. It is better to aelion rear over armor crush for higher potency. I am aware clone deals same dps, I mention that in the video aswell.
@@Alninio Don't get me wrong, I must have misunderstood you. I really like your videos and appreciate this tutorial. I've learned a lot and hope to get better. Do you often look at hotbars? I caught myself that I often can't do the mechanics correctly because I follow the bars too often, and sometimes when I focus on the mechanics I lose uptime because I don't follow the hotbars. Would you have any advice for me?
@@CineQu the main idea of it really is lots of practice with your rotation to the point where I never really look at the hotbar very often, you still should look at your hotbar for CDs and your HUD for how long you have X buff etc etc - I have a video touching on this exact topic actually!
So after level like 53 I couldn’t use any of the skills that are higher than that even tho I passed that level. Also why only 3 targets does it do less damage on more targets
I've just started the Rouge quest. After watching 5 minutes of this lunacy, I'm think about abandon that quest. Maybe the whole game. I want to play a game and chill out, not study for a freakin phd. What the fuck.
What I'm showcasing is end game ninja from lv 70 to 90 if you care about optimizing and getting the most out of your job + a basics section for new ninja players. literally just take things step by step as you level. you shouldn't feel overwhelmed at the start of your journey, you're giving up without even trying. if you don't wanna ninja, play an easier job.
@@Alninio Thanks for taking the time to answer! I'll try to keep up, and if I'm not top damage I can live with that just fine! And I DO get the basics. Pre buff, keep the buffs up and use the most damaging skills within the damage window. There is just SO many levers to pull.
Biggest problem is that you have been max level so long you have forgotten most players has been a ninja from level 30 and a rogue before that, it's not like starting at 70 with the latest jobs, but I guess everyoen just buys level 90 ninjas and that is what the job is for. This is not a extreme job if you have trained for countless hours while leveling, but then all jobs is fairly icky without mucle memory training, there is nothing easy about any job, you don't buy level 90 and jump into savage clears no matter the job, unless the content is so easy the rest of the players can carry you. What we need is not a level 90 guide, it's a leveling guide to train the right muscle memory for USE when we get 90.
I literally explained the fundamental basics of Ninja at the start of the video. Even the mudras and job gauge, if you can't digest basic information on pre-lv 70 that isn't my problem. My guide literally helps you master the job across the board if you even payed any attention at all. I don't treat my viewers like they can't read basic tooltips. 70 to 90 is the content that you will play the entire time cuz of ultimates and savage. if you are leveling from 1 to 60, you just need the basics part nailed down and I LITERALLY Timestamped it.
This is BY FAR the best NIN-Guide I have seen in my almost 10 years of playing FFXIV. And as a NIN-player myself I have found myself in a slump as soon as Endwalker dropped. Ninja didn't feel as fluid anymore as it used to. But that was because I didn't understand the subtle changes. This guide showed me what I was doing wrong.
