@@kassakakasan8969 Gotchya, thanks! I'm pretty sure I've only done that dungeon once, so I wasn't super familiar with the song. I hardly end up getting base-EW content besides Dead Ends when running roulettes, haha.
@@Forpus_ Thank you! :) It doesn't seem to let me edit the original comment (Keeps giving me "returned error" message when I try and save it), but I really appreciate the confirmation!
The fact that even just a couple seconds of each of these is enough to give you emotional whiplash as your brain is flooded with memories of characters and places is proof that this soundtrack did a damn good job. There’s a reason you don’t see people making videos like this for borderlands or assassins creed.
Borderlands had one song that I remember from the actual gameplay bits and it was the combat music from the first area of the first game. I really liked it, tho.
early assassin's creed songs were pretty good, a shame that ubisoft stopped caring about the franchise. I can still remember the Leonardo da Vinci theme song playing every time I spoke to him on brotherhood, the Florence theme song playing while I was running through the rooftops on assassin's creed II or the crew chanting on long sails on assassin's creed IV, but now it's like the games don't even have music to begin with.
@@FinalJimothy not really? I don’t think those games have bad soundtracks, but do they actively enhance the game’s storytelling in the same way as ffxiv, absolutely not.
I have not seen a more accurate ffxiv video. Ffxiv playlist is a constant fight between being the glorious hero upon whom the universe relies and the girl who is crying over the people she has lost. They can happen within two seconds of each other, the only in between is 'papaya'.
Just posted a comment with what I believe to be a list of the songs! Was gonna post it as a reply here but I figured I'd make a new comment in case anyone else is looking for them!
I don't know whats crazier the fact ffxiv's soundtrack really is this varied or the fact there was a land similar to each of the dimensions he crashed through in the game and still many more to come
Me setting up my Orchestrion playlist, knowing full well that anyone who makes the mistake of sitting around in my apartment for more than 3 minutes will be in for a ride.
I doubt this is the place to put this, but man I really miss this game. Me and my friends picked it up about 2 years ago and we started off slow. We weren't that into ARR, and we disliked our classes. Fast forward a year, our guild got a few new members we met in game, we were playing most days of the week, everyone in a call talking and enjoying the game. Due to a lot of things for a number of us, we all slowly stopped playing. I re-upped my sub the other day (to save our company housing), and saw that it had been nearly 180-250 days since everyone was on. A lot of these songs we would bang to, and they bring memories of enjoying XIV with my friends. Kinda got me in a funk. My personal favorite song is Ink Long Dry. Gubal has a great aesthetic.
Did anyone else experience whiplash and PTSD from this video? Like I was not ready for the emotions and truth about FF14 soundtrack this 45 second video portrayed.
i do this for guild wars 2 and DAMN it matches so much. most of the time the songs that i want end up coming up when a fight starts or during a specific scene. ffxiv ost is the shiz
I still find it weird how her name is America and her portals are literally a star. How much more on the fucking nose can one write a character than that
