Astolfo wasn't kidding in Apocrypha, when he said he was a weak servant. I guess that's ANOTHER thing that he openly and brazenly reveals (poor Jeanne...)

Obtaining him is the only reason i'm even playing this game.

Now that I've pulled a copy of Astolfo, all he needs to do is sit in the backline while farming so his bond level can grow. I adore him, but I know better than to think he'll ever be part of any mainline team comp. He can warm the "favorite" spot in "my room" KappaPride.

He's cute though, that's enough for most people

"Astolfo is a terrible rider." That's not really true when 80% of your video is detailing how useful he is. To be honest, I'm using him at NP4 and he's one of the best Rider I have.

Not really pulling for Astolfo though wouldn't mind getting him. An amusing character and personality. Too bad the overall skills are a bit less...good. Hate to say it, but the servant I'm most excited about getting from this banner...is Kid Gil.

Is Astolfo weak? For now in NA server, yes he is indeed. But if your Astolfo has NP level 2, team up with some star generator in the future, plus some critical\quick base CEs, you'll see a whole new world. Especially Kintoki rider and Kotaro. Just a "level 100/skill max/fou max Astolfo" master passing by.

2 hit quick on a servant with a quick deck, wut?

surprised you didn't recommend Prisma Cosmos so he can actually use his NP more often. an AQQ chain nets him a neat 29% meter and if I'm remembering right, a QQQ chain gives him about 13%, without crits both times. His NP is strong enough that being able to reliably use it significantly elevates Astolfo's usefulness and even enables him to solo some content.

Actually fgo did do him justice, in apocrapha astolfo states he is one of the weakest riders.

i don`t really care about his stats, i just want him, i just like his personality to much to not grail him, i think he have the best personality in all of the series, as for waifu material i tried to use 200 quartz for mordred and yet nothing...uff

Still believe he can be saved. What he needs is a rework; replace most of his skills with his other two noble phantasms: La Black Luna could easily serve as a mass debuffer effect to reduce enemy defenses and debuff-resist, while Caseur de Logistille would be a great way to buff against debuffs/reduce damage taken for a period of time. Sure, it would be really strong and effectively give him all of his noble phantasms in one way or another, but that's kind of the point. In his own legends, he is known as weak, but also as having collected many noble phantasms. It makes sense to let him use them, even if not at full strength by making them into skills. It's not like it would be enough to make him 5-star strength or something.

I disagree with the notion that they didn't do Astolfo justice in Fate/GO. His entire purpose in Apocrypha was to be a terrible Servant that just lucked out heavily while pretty much bumbling his way through the War. They did a pretty great job of reflecting that in Fate/GO, I'd think. Not to say people shouldn't like him or want to roll for him or use him, but I just think his gameplay is pretty accurate to his character: Absolutely terrible unless he gets lucky, in which case it's passable at best.

Not gonna lie... after I played Astolfo, I really want him...SO DAMN CUTE! But he's a... I'm so confused... Good thing is that he's not limited, so let's leave our encounter to fate

It took a lot longer than i thought it would to get Astolfo, about 120 quartz but managed to get him to np2. He's adorable and his voice lines are charming. Love his personality which is one of the main reasons i want him plus how can anyone hate him....he tries so hard to be a good servant. Its not his fault he really isn't one and even in Apocrypha he accepts he isn't a good servant.

Astolfo spooked me today, but hearing this broke my heart...

Astolfo is a trap! As you say, Medusa shares 2 skills and has better versions, Astolfo only fits in quick teams full of assassins to protect them from casters.

Whether he's good or bad I'm still going to pull for *the best boy!*

Got him after getting tempted by the Jalter banner. Rip my Gramps saving but hey, at least I got a pretty cool trap. Worth it.

My boi really needs a buff on his 2 first skills (I mean the third is really good if u pair it with ozy's third skill), still love him from the bottom of my heart.

It seems whenever I use the third skill, all the effects seem to proc. Either it's a glitch or Astolfo's 65% is better and more consistent than Hans' 80% NP buffs lmao

Got him last night. I’ll be fitting Astolfo with Prisma Cosmos on a Waver arts team to see just how much I can spam Hippogriff.

hello! still kinda new to this game but I'm glad I found this channel, it is a huge help!

He’s not downright awful like Stheno or Fionn are but he does require a lot of investment to be good. I have him at Np2 and am fortunate enough to have Ozymandias so I can totally second their good synergy. I maxed out his third skill first cause the 50% np charge pairs great with the plethora of 5* CEs that have the same effect. So he can one turn np and his np is already pretty good. But that’s about all he can muster if you’re using him outside a quick team. I do think his bond CE is one of the few worth aiming for though. Love him to death but hey, at least he’s not Fionn bad.

I've pulled him already. Still holding out hope he will get another strengthening to bring him up to par. He only really needs slightly better NP gain. I guess he's a victim of early game power level inconsistency.

I just got Astolfo recently and haven't gotten the resources to level him, but man hearing him call you master in a cheerful manner just hits me differently compare to all the waifu that I've have collected recently. I can't wait to get his saber versions in NA.

Love the way you took a clip of apocrypha. He needed to have higher hits on his deck 3 quick 2 arts 1 buster Wish his skills represented his NPs The horn stuns enemies (50% - 70%) The lance increases crit star drop rate high The Book gives him a 1 turn invincibility buff Then his deck should have been quick quick arts arts buster His Np is fine This would help his np charge while removing SOME of the RNG elements like the stun should be similar to MHX'S

Damn Grand order really screwed up third best girl..... what I mean you got Jeanne da Arc you got Mordred and you got third best girl. So long story short cute pink haired boy who dresses up like a girl and keeps having all these emotions flow up in a bunch of guys hearts every he pops up on screen is a disappointing servant in Grand order got it. But he does have his other usefulness he can be used for snuggling.... again like I said he is third best girl.

Too bad Astolpho doesn't have her other NP, it would be nice to save an anti magic tome

I've been looking forward to this video, and I'm surprised; I thought Astolfo was better then you made him out to be, but as I say: To each their own opinion. Either way, I plan to do more rolls because I haven't gotten all of the Crafts and haven't got Astolfo yet, so hopefully I get him soon. ^_^

FGO does Astolfo really dirty. He has 4 Noble Phantasms... but can barely even use 2 of them. Thankfully they remembered La Black Luna and Casseur de Logistille in his Saber form. This man is an adventurer who should be solving plot dilemmas, not brawling.

After watching this there is no way Siegfried can be rated worse than Astolfo. A less than 2k difference in Atk. should not negate the unbelievable HP and the healing Siegfried has. G&A Reviews, I am getting more excited everyday to see how you will tear apart Siegfried.

I ended up rolling Astolfo as one of my very first SR cards, if not the very first one ever. I was actually quite happy about it given how much I like him. It was disappointing to find out just how underwhelming his kit is, but that won't stop me from grailing best boy to level 100.

Astolfo was one of the best characters in Fate/Apocrypha but he even self-identified as a weak Servant. I wish I could add him to my team but he just doesn't have the capabilities I would need. Thank-you for the review.

He literally sneaked into my Chaldea. One day I was scrolling down my list of servants, and then suddenly he was just there. I have no idea when I pulled him, as I don't remember ever seeing his introduction, but it is an undeniable fact that he is in my barracks. My only explanation is that, just a few days prior, I got Parvati while rolling for Hokusai, and he slipped through the gates by hiding behind her "assets". Either that, or d'Éon smuggled him in out of solidarity.

Well in a way they 'did' do him justice... if you look at his stats and skills in comparison to other servants outside of Grand Order he's not exactly that strong in terms of pure numbers bar his amazing 'Luck'... what makes him effective was his versatility due to the sheer number of NP's he had (seeing as he was more of an 'adventurer' type of paladin than a holy-knight)... -the hippogriff (his 'mount' that all Riders have) -the tome (which is a big middle finger to mages making him all but immune to most magic) -Trap of Argalia (which is his main offensive weapon) -and the giant horn which is for AOE clearing. what would have been interesting is if this versatility was brought over, so have Astolfo with several different NP's... that way although he wouldn't be the strongest via numbers he'd have the versatility to fit in a good number of teams. -Have the Hippogriff as it is now as an AOE NP -the tome as a more 'supportive/defensive' NP (maybe a 1 turn immunity to his team of some defense buff) -Trap of Argalia as a more single target NP -The horn as a 'Debuff' NP with maybe a small amount of damage or a chance of stun. It'd give him a more unique niche and the versatility he was intended for, so he could easily go from a support servant to an offensive one depending on how things are going. just my 2 cents and thoughts on what could be done to improve him.

Randomly got besto waifu Astolfo in the summer UmU banner. I'm happy even if there's no reason to upgrade him over summer Moldred.

Literally the only trap I can tolerate in anime, the only guy who's not in your face about it. He just acts playful and cute, he doesn't really pretend to be a girl

If you use the craft essence "The Imaginary Element" He can start with his NP charged at 60%. If you're lucky to get 3 arts in there (the 1 including from astolfo) he can charge his NP at a good rate. Despite him having a terrible charge rate.

Give him some grail, some fou, a NP charge CE and he will be viable again :D

Astolfo might not be of the strongest servants but he certain is among the most loved and popular
